That's it, no story. Gorgeous day today in NoVA so I took the Mondial to get some Bordeaux wine for tonight's BBQ. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice to use her as a grocery getter. I want to do the same, but the supermarket nearby has awfull little parkingspots. Maybe I need to search for one much much further away?!
Thanks both of you. To complete the series, here is a pic of the BBQ pork. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks! This is were I took delivery of the car in May 90, almost 24 years ago. There is one decal for sale for $20 or so here: Autocollant Ferrari Charles Pozzi Equipement Auto Haut-Rhin - leboncoin.fr If you have trouble in French, I'd be glad to be of assistance. Ed: Sorry, just saw you're from Montréal, so you should be fine.
Great stuff, another proof these beauties are made to be used. And the boot of the mondial offers enough room for those little shopping trips. Besides, you always have the back seats in case you go overboard on the shopping. Love the colour, especially with the red interiour, mine has blue on the inside. Cheers Jurgen
It was our first new Ferrari. The previous one was a black Mondial 3.2 bought used from Pozzi, who's previous owner was Didier Calmels, the former LARROUSSE-CLAMELS F1 team owner. We were able to specify all options, including sunroof and full leather interior. When I picked up the car at POZZI, still in Levallois-Perret, I stopped at a crosswalk to let a charming old lady to cross the road. She came to my side to compliment me on the car. I thought this was a great omen. I have already posted this picture but this is the car new the day we got it at the Saint-Nom la Bretêche golf were we lived. The little boy greeting his mom is the tall muscular fellow in blue tee-shirt you see walking toward Wegman’s in the first picture. 2nd pic is the 3.2 in Parc de Saint-Cloud. This was my wife's daily driver for Paris when I met her. (Kid on picture not ours). Car was sold about that time most unfortunately. When I see today's value, sometimes, I cringe. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oh Be Still My Beating Heart! But I gave up on wine and switched to Ice Beers. Why? I ended up spending half my time running all over ChicagoLand for every last case of Turning Leaf Gold Pinot Noire recommended by Wine Spectator. Then my wife's best friend asked to bring a wine to my birthday party many years ago. I said bring a red. OK. My wife's best friend was administrative assistant to the CEO of one of the top medical centers in Chicago. He did not drink so gave all his wine gifts to her. SHE did not drink and so laid them up in her cool basement. She brought Staglin Family Farms Cab and asked for a wine spritzer. I asked for a medicine dropper. That wine was last available three years prior and cost $100 per bottle. It had been aged five years neglected in her basement. I will NEVER have a better wine. So I just gave up. Milwaukees Best Ice for me.
