I know I will get some flack for doing this, but my Mondi QV Cab. is well past the concurs stage in life, so I figured I would personalize "Crow" a little. Painted the Air Plenum the same crackle black as what is on the air box and other engine items. My car is a Nero Cab, and love what black does for the Ferrari's.

After all, Richard Rolling's (sp) from fast and loud said when asked why he painted the F40 black instead of Red. "because black is just bad ass" I agree.

That looks fantastic! I think that it looks better than stock.

Unless you know... You'd never know otherwise.

I agree, it looks fantastic. If you don't mind my asking, what product/procedure did you use? (I have an old car with a painted black wrinkle finish dashboard that needs refurbishment.)

Mark, now I know why your newly "crackled" air plenum looks so good. I just spotted your prestine exhaust tips !! I'd bet that your Mondi is as close to perfect, as is humanly possible. Good on ya, mate !!!

BTW, I'd love to see some pics of your Pagoda. I recently had one but the financial focus could only be on one toy ..... and my Rachel is family - so I sold Ingrid.

    Looks excellent!

I would replace that plenum tube to complete the job:

You can also restore it with Restore Black: Bondo Restore Black, 8 fl oz 800: Shop the best Fiberglass Repair at Advance Auto Parts but you will not have the labeling visible.

Thanks! I used the VHT Wrinkle finish spray. Great product and goes on very easy and smooth. You do need to hit it with 2 heavy coats about 30 minutes apart, and let it sit for three days, it takes about 48 hours for the product to harden to a handling level. I did some test sprays first and I was amazed how well it matched the stock air box color and finish.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. What impresses me most is the uniformity of the finish. I'll definitely try a few practice pieces first.
