Have noticed a couple of Mondial T Cab for sale currently at £32-33k - I wonder if values are finally starting to firm a little?
Also a couple of Coupes at £26k+

Classic Cars For Sale on www.CarAndClassic.co.uk. Free Advertising for Classic Car Traders. Vintage/Old/Used Cars.

A few seem to be selling too...

There appear to be some crazy asking prices for 308/328 currently in UK - £70-80K
And some racy asking prices for GT4s - upwards of £40k

Mondis must get dragged-up?? My gut feeling is there is no such thing as a 'cheap' Ferrari and the market is belatedly starting to realise what a great car the Mondial actually is

Wonder what Paul Stephens is wanting for the blue sera coupe he has in stock?

IS the SF scudetto an add on or Euro touch?

    I'm guessing £40k at least.

    I've sent an enquiry.

I have also seen this advert and enquired about the price. Unfortunately this car is being auctioned at Silverstone Auctions on 26th/27th July - so it may be questioned who actually owns the vehicle.

I have also seen this advert, but unfortunately this car is being auctioned at Silverstone Auctions 26th/27th July - and subsequently raises the question who actually owns this vehicle! Incidentally, they are also auctioning a Harrier Jump Jet.

No visibility on the Coys auction results from last week, as yet - unless I am missing something?

Will post when I get anything

The two seaters are in demand for the same reason 1958 Plymouths are in demand. The Plymouth four door Fury goes for crazy prices because Stephen King featured it in his book Christine which was also a movie.

The two seater was feature for years in Magnum PI and has a similar mark-up. The Testa Rosa has not fared as well for some reason even though featured in Miami Vice. Perhaps because it is not gotten better looking or cheaper to fix over the last few decades. Its not a car I would drive around to pick up a six pack.

The Mondial is just right though. Elegant not flamboyant. And useful as well as it has very large parcel shelves behind the front seats that are themselves cleverly disguies as seats. And I can wear my cowboy hat in the Mondial. There are Ford Pickups that will not accomodate my cowboy hat.

A rising tide floats all boats! Other models are going up so Mondials go with them

LOL. Best description I have ever seen!!!

Not in a coupe! I barely fit (5'9") and getting in with a helmet makes for a classic "Italian driving position". Doesn't look like any way to lower the seat either.

    Regards,
    Jerry

sjeeez Jerry, you must be out of proportion. ;) I can easily wear my sombrero while driving.

Nah, I don't wear hats, but I've got plenty of room in my Mondi and I'm 6' tall. Off course the Italian Ape position is applied while driving, with seat against backseats - ahum parcel shelves.

    gsfent - RE head room.

I may be gargoyl in my upper body presentation, as my second wife insisted, but she had bad taste in men. But its true. The cockpit in my coupe fits me like a well worn glove, and the hat never touches the head liner. And I have a double X Large helmet that fits as well.

They did not have a helment large enough for my fat head at Skip Barber and stuck me into a Porche Caymen. Possitively midieval. So I have no explanation. When it comes to this QV coupe I have an entire list of inexplicable entries. Been reading Stephen King lately and perhaps will gain some insight.

I made an enquiry and got this from Paul Stephens:
We have committed to sending the car to auction, as it’s a marque that we don’t specialise in.

We took the Ferrari in P/X against a Porsche 993. The last owner was a very meticulous gentleman and he kept he cars in immaculate condition.

Below is the link to the auction house the car is being sold through this weekend, with a guide at £28k-32K which does seem good value as the car is in great condition:

    The auction catalog states:

It has had six cambelt services, the last performed in December 2012 (28,058mls) by Ferrari specialist, Nick Cartwright. In all there are ten stamps in the service book. This is a very 'correct' Ferrari that has been exceptionally pampered all it's life.
The records show that only 31 RHD Mondial t's came to the UK and of those only five were finished in blue. It surely represents great value today and a chance to enter and an exclusive ownership club without high maintenance costs with a stunning Ferrari that ticks all the boxes.

Goes to the block July 26th.

Six cam belt services....? That is, oddly, a good thing because the car must have been started at least six times in the last 25 years. However, if the water pump goes bad I believe that is engine out.

With any luck the hoses and coolant will also have been replaced six times. That would be another six start ups. Pardon my sardonic humor, but the worst kind of old car to buy for the purpose of driving is one that has not much been driven.

My '86 had 44k miles on it and I have added another 6.500 in the last year. It sits in the carport as my daily car. I scattered the clutch last year and added a NAPA starter, but other then that I just put the key in and drive away.

Whether this will continue into the future I do not know and will report back next year ;)

The 'Paul Stephens' T coupe was sold at this weekends Silverstone auction for £31k plus commission. That must be a record high price for a T coupe? About 53k USD.
So values certainly appear to be firming in UK market....

    Sold for £21.83k plus commission
Values/ prices seem to be all over the place at present

However two nominally similar cars will have significant difference in value depending on actual condition, history, provenance etc of course

I imagine the Silverstone car was superb, the Coys car significantly less so

When I was searching for a T, I viewed a blue Sera cab at a north London dealer - that car had been featured in classic & sports car magazine and claimed just 13k miles - car was a real shed - dripping oil and miles obviously false - I learned a lot from viewing that car!

Thanks for the followup and market view.

It is funny ( to me, or perhaps an outlier in the Ferrari Market) that Mondials in Blu are more desireable than resale red.

The Paul Stephans example was very nice.

Simon- did the other lots sell well at Silverstone- was it the atmosphere or the car?
