I had a miss in my 84 about a month ago and haven't had time to look at it until today. Now it starts then dies after about a second. Any typical issues causing this before I start checking voltages in the F.I. system?
    Thanks,
    Steve

sounds like a fuel problem rather then a voltage one.

It turned out to be a relay that was located in the area underneath the antenna at the back of the car. It had something to do with the FI System. Frequency Valve if I recall correctly.
There was a thread back then that Steve Magnussen (SP?) contributed to. He outlined the diagnostics and was extremely helpful. Ill try to find it and forward it to you.
    Thanks

my 85 had a similar issue.if you look at your relay panel you have a start relay and a run relay.my start relay was ok so it would start but as soon as it did the faulty run relay shut it off.hope this helps

Where are the "start" and "run" relays located? In the trunk w/ the ECU & frequency valve?

Can you keep it going with starter fluid sprayed into the air intake?
