Help!!!! What plugs in here?

    I am replacing all the vacuum lines, fuel lines, etc in my 1988 Mondial 3.2. This junction/valve/whatever lies in the driver's side of the car behind the rear wheel. I have changed the lines that were already connected, but one of the 3 vac line nipples had no hose attached to it. (See pics)
    I think this component is in Table 11 on the 3.2 parts book, but I can't even be sure of that.
    Any ideas?
    PS: the vacuum lines going into this junction are about the diameter of a pencil, although they look huge in the pics.

    That's a solenoid valve. You are not missing anything :). The little bar that sticks out is not open on the end and it closes or opens on demand. You see on your 1st pic that the bar is nice and clean on the casing where it goes up and down.

    I believe it is part 111704 (US & Swiss cars only)
