OK. I give up! I have downloaded every manual I can find, have Googled for hours, checked all the chat sites but still cannot find any comment or instructions on how to remove the motor from my 88 Mondial.

    Can anyone help???

    Cheers

    Keith

There is around here a link to the factory repair manual and I have printed it out. It does have a very crude step by step that I followed a week ago and my engine is now out of the car. I think the manual is actually for the QV or maybe the 8 but it's awfully close. I think it is in section I. Under chassis or something like that.

Section L I believe now that I've looked at the index.

    All Ferraris

You probably already have the manual from here but if not, follow to manuals and then to Mondial.

You can also update your profile with your part of the country. You might get someone not too far away that has done this.

    Last weekends work.

I have not tried the engine removal and spit shine method yet, but maybe after I install my 4 post lift and at the next cambelt interval.
You can ask PV Dirk ^^^ as he just took out his engine last week, fresh in his mind on all of the bolts and hoses to remove... Maybe you can start a nice thread with step by step photos ;)

    Good luck,

Make sure you have some really solid supports or a lift, as the car has to go up pretty high. There are some pretty sketchy car supports on some of the engine out threads.

Is your car a proper right hand drive or an import? You might want to make an entry in the Australia section down lower in the regional sections. There may be someone near you that has done this.

Whatever you do, go slow. Fast work on these cars can cause expensive problems. I have many hours into pulling my engine, going very slow, making sure not to miss any connectors. Ripping loose the wrong wire could end up being expensive.
