Nice! I like the cars in the background as well.

At the risk of stirring a hornets nest- what is being done- what other things should be done with the engine out?

    Lastly, PM sent.

Car will be running well after this work.

Question: When the heads were removed did you notice any build up on the tops of the pistons, and if so how much? Was any attempt made to remove it?

I ask this question because a couple of months ago, before my car went in for its yearly service, I replaced the extenders and spark plugs in my car. With the plugs out I looked at the build up on the pistons. Although not real bad it was there. That began to get me thinking about having the engine removed for the major it is going to get next year. I have an 87 Mondinal the the mechanic and I are having a discusion about whether the engine should stay in or come out. If it comes out I might go through the process of removing all the crud from the tops of the pistons.

Thanks, good luck with the car. Post a picture when it is all back together.

Hello Mr C, no the heads are not coming off, just the valve covers. Here are some more photos.
