looks thoroughly prepared for some track fun. no affiliation Ferrari Mondial 3.2 Q V Competition (1989) for sale
These are legendary cars that have their own threads in the past - search 'moneytron' Here's one http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/europe/53513-my-barn-find-2-ferraris-12.html Been for sale a while http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/mondial/446092-1989-mondial-t-competition-150-000-euro.html
Yes, lots of talk on these cars, going way back... And the ad is very misleading; claims to be and describes as a Mondial t when in fact they are 3.2 instead. FerrariChat search results for "moneytron" http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/search.php?searchid=8213044
Thanks for the links Wade / Greyboxer Been away for a while and missed these. Certainly a colourful piece of Mondial history, but a bit punchy at that price point.
In my humble opinion for a racing car they may have a reasonable fair price. I mean 75k for 1 fully restored and prepped ready to go racing car. And they where in a very bad state before restoration. I think when sold seperately they have higher chance to reach this amount, but I guess they belong together as a historical piece. Not sure if the need is there to sell, if not, then it is a very nice showroom piece. 3 years ago a not fully restored 1983 Ferrari 308 GTB Group B rally car went for nearly 500k in Euros (640k USD) at Bonhams Monaco sale and lately the prices are really going up here in Europe. In the weeks to come Bartzagato and me want to pay a visit to see these Moneytron twins. We'll take some pic as we come along (if allowed).
Yep yep yep I want to take look at the Mondis in training suit. 😃 Perhaps, we can also visit Zoute Grand Prix®.
The show "Classic Car Rescue" UK Discovery did an episode on a Mondial QV coupe racer. See the whole thing, but its in Russian... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTx3HmXIONc]????? ????? ????? ??????????? Ferrari Mondial - YouTube[/ame]
