Also so they both need longer lug bolts or just the 348 wheels?[IMG][IMG]
If I had a QV the third option would be my choice; 16" replicas from Superformance . Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree as I actually like my stock wheels best but The two options I posted are less expensive and genuine wheels. I am sure those Superformance wheels are good quality but I prefer genuine options.
I'm a big fan of the 348 wheels on the Mondial. But I think they don't fit as nice on the QV. With the black bumpers I prefer wheels like what Hank has on his Rachel. Or somethink like this. http://images.forum-auto.com/mesimages/296544/PIC03136.jpg http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/mondial/466418-wanted-mondial.html
The more I look at that picture, the more I agree. However the Superperformance wheels after shipping are close enough in price to buying new metric tires. That being the case, I'd rather stay stock. I'm only considering the wheels to solve the tire issue.
if you want Ferrari wheels stop wasting time and money. 360 modulars are tits. sometimes I wish mine was red. but then again most are red. All my friends have a 69 Camaro,I have a silver Ferrari
Another option, while not OEM they are period correct, is Etoile/Gotti wheels in 16 or 17inch. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/mondial/446296-concours-question.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/mondial/422858-introducing-bella-bella-rossa.html I've been told that the Gottis were dealer installed on some 308s as well. . Here are two. Convertable and coupe. I think it looks better then the old style. More current sort of speak... anyway that's personal Not sure. I have T wheels. Mine are. Excellent. Finally a picture of a QV with T wheels. Looks "correct" to me. Can you share anymore pictures with those wheels please?
I almost bought a black T last year off Ebay with those wheels and I agree they look fantastic on a T. I don't think they look right on QV's though. I'm the weird guy who decided he liked QV's better than T's. I like the flared fenders, larger intake grills and especially the black bumpers. Of course I strongly prefer the seats and dash and especially the center tunnel/console of the T's but throw in no motor out for a major and the choice was easy. I really like that my car looks old. The metric tires and Metric wheels look good to me. I just can't stand spending 500 per tire for metric tires. The Superperformance wheels are basically equal to getting new metric tires so why not just do that? The best bet for me is T wheels. No one with a T wants theres because the 348 wheels and 360 wheels look great on the T. One mans garbage is another mans gold as they say.
a few more T wheels on a QV... CHEERS Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My 87 3.2 came from the factory with what you are calling t wheels. I think 87 was the split year where they could come with either. I've also heard them called an ABS wheel as I think that design was required for ABS. ABS was an option in 87 IIRC.
holy crap Mike! You have a rackserver running in the basement? Your picture storage is just unbelievable! Love the black convertible QV here is another one of a coupe. I like it better then the black 3.2s Anyway.. hope you can make your choice Sweet928! post some pics of the decision you made Image Unavailable, Please Login
My favorite rims have always been the challenge ones - best showcased by the Eberlein Mondial Image Unavailable, Please Login
I got MvT's Azev's on mine. Don't have pic on my iPad, but I got one of a QV with OZ Futura wheels. They were my other option. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Tijn, Bonhams needs to reverse the direction that those 348 wheels are running. Funny, how it happens all the time. Cheers, Hank
