    Took the '88 in for a fluid change, repair of a leaking shift rod seal and an overall check out.

    This is what you get....an engine out service to get rid of a bunch of leaks :)

    Check out the old sealant used to stop the leaks.

    Yes, I could have driven the car as is. It is a great runner and really didn't leave any drops. However, I would know it was there. The engineer in me wants it done right

    My oil and coolant change led to my engine being on the ground too :D

    But as in all three of our cases, I'm not sure this is because it was so badly needed as much as a sick desire to see our engines out of our cars. It's like a rite of passage I believe. I've known since doing my first service that I badly wanted the engine out of the car. :D Can't tell you why but I've known that desire was there.
