Yesterday when I woke up it was snowing, again.
It's almost April for gods sake and I still have about two feet of snow in my yard.
It doesn't seem to be melting at all.
It seems like I will be able to get the car out just in time for storring it again.
    Arghhhhh!

    Ok, I feel better. Thanks!

I feel for you buddy. I finally have my car back in one piece since July last year.

It forecasts rain all week. Uhh

When did you last start it? Do you get any issues having it stored for long periods?

Ron, I totally understand how you feel. It's the same here still snowing this morning again and for us it's not 2 feet of snow but closer to 4 in the yard. In the rear corner of the house and garage I have a bank over 8 ft high and the patio is 6 ft high.

I think I will not need the lawnmower this year :-(

This weekend was 80 Degrees, partly cloudy, nice breezes here in the Dallas area.
Weather is one of the reasons we stay in Texas.

Perfect weekend to work on the car - see my other threads!

Ron, I hear you. My greatest concern during Winter is "will my battery be dead come Spring?"

    Kind regards,

As I understand it, snow is real pretty, fluffy and is a joy to behold!

And opportunities abound with snow....skiing, sledding, boarding, etc.

    Who wouldn't love snow!!!!

Me! The cold kills stuff, that's why we put things in the fridge! Can't go for a drive whenever I feel like it, walking hurts, heating becomes a basic human necessity such as wireless, ice creams, cold beer and bikinis vanish, etc. That said I do live in Lisbon (peak Winter: +5ºC) and lived in Brazil for a while, so anything less than 30ºC for me is cold, I'll give you that.

    Kind regards,

    Nuno.

It's very different when you live with it 6 months a year. With -40 degree.

To a Texan - That's a lovely, tranquil picture! everything so quiet and serene!

Having said that - I feel it's much better for all this type of tranquility to be somewhere that I am not!

Just took the Mondial out for a drive! No snow, ice, wet stuff, etc. Nice warm day. Only a little overcast to spoil things.

We managed to time the escape from Indiana winters very well moving here in August of last year.
You don't even check the weather forecast as you know it's going to always be between 85-95F.
The toughest part is the constant 80%+ humidity.
Rarely do you see convertibles with their tops down as people feel its too hot if you can believe it!

I have to admit that does look like nice.

As much as I complain, I wouldn't give up the four seasons.

Living in New England has its benefits.

I agree Ron but by mid March I would like it to be all melted. Some of the positive side of winter is we have no dangerous snakes, scorpions, spiders etc.

But this year is an exception, way too long and cold! We still had -24C(12F) this morning.

Went out for a nice hour (or so) drive last night. Perfect weather. No need for AC (I have a coupe). Pulled into a gas station to refuel. Had a great conversation with a nice guy and his 18 YO son whom were there. One of the few times I have spent 30 minutes in a gas station.

Oh, did I mention the weather was great? 75+ Degrees (it was cooling a little in the evening). Partly cloudy! Not a snow-flake (or any other type of flake) in sight!

We've had our fair share of the snow here on Long Island. I Haven't been able to drive too often, but still managed a few trips in between storms. This was a couple of weeks ago. Almost all melted now. So of course it's raining instead!

    Hey David,

I love the photo composition, with the large expanse of foreground snow, supporting the at-rest beauty of your 3.2 Coupe.

Keep that shot ......... it'll work nicely for next years Xmas cards for your car buddies.

    Cheers,

    Hank

I Love Winter - for about one week. And as a kid I just loved the six foot snow drifts we got East of Cleveland, Ohio. And I lived 13 god forsaken years in Chicago. I remember standing next to a co-worker from Puerto Rico. One February we were looking out the ceiling to floor window a couple of hundred feet above street level. Blustery, dark grey, 19 F.

He turned to me and said: "People should not need to live like this ... "

I now live in the North Georgia Mountains, chosen specifically for the moderate climate. We are well past tree blooming and the tempuratures have been convertible friendly, off and on, for about a month. Chicago. Ugh. Oddly, Atlanta, which is only 100 miles away, has hidiously hot, humid Summers, and can get appocalyptic ice storms.

Ron, I just used your top latches to put the top down as the temps came down from the 90's into the 80 range. Top up was to let the AC be effective and avoid Sun stroke.Sorry, just gloating.

North Georgia mountains ... also conveniently close to Road Atlanta, great roads around Suches, Helen, Dahlonega (sp?) ... and, oh yeah, the Tail of the Dragon, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and places that can actually fix exotic cars! Almost heaven ...

We were in the 80's (F) today. What a great day to get some detailing accomplished. Engine compartment is starting to look nice.
