That's a refreshing change, someone that does'nt want red ;-)

 

Non-red Mondial Coupes are very uncommon in the US. But they're out there. Enjoy the quest.

Here are the numbers. Of course, total survivors are fewer, and a handful of Euro Spec cars were imported as well (like mine).

BTW, a breakdown by color has never been fully determined. However, a majority of them are "arrest-me-red" or "resale red".

I always knew that I was "Special". Now, I can actually prove it to my Spouse!!!

P.S - I'm also in the "Non-Red" camp. I like Red, but I like Blu (Sera) even more.
Of interest, is that there are 3 Blue Coupes in the Dallas/Ft Worth area.

3.2 Mondial Coupe
Production started: 1985.
Production ended: 1988.

Total production: 987, 91 [right v left hand drive].

First serial number: 59165.

Last serial number: 79671.

 

But thats easy for me to say. I have Prugna Metalica which apparently has three coats of paint. 1) Purple 2) gold fleck 3) clear coat. I do not know if the gold fleck included actual Au 79.

 

Prugna would be extra $$$, not a discount!. It is a pretty rare color.

This is indeed a very nice set of wheels!

I'm just thinking. Is color still important now that we have wrap? I would just choose the interior and wrap the thing in any color I would like

 

I will check my notes for you guys. Prior owner had them custom made and I have the order/spec sheet. 18x8.5 and 18x10!! I think they are Forgelines.

Doubt I will ever sell judging from my own past experience. Still driving the 1965 red Corvair convertable I found in 1979! On the otherhand, I only expect to live 22 more years till I turn 90. If during that time I come to mistake my hat for a past girl friend I might sell cheap!

I find these production numbers surprisingly low. Zero '84 coupes? Really?

Plenty of coupes in Europe; prices lower than cabs.
