Hi, Aside from our Mondial any other fellows driving air cooled 911 or old BMW's? I drive an 89 930 and an 84 635 CSI. audio research
I used to have an SC. I sold it when I bought my Ferrari. My wife insisted. To this day I regret it. I love old BMW's. If I had the space I'd get a 2002 and a 3.0CSI. Since I solved the intermittent no start issue on my Mondial I no longer have something to gripe about. I plan to remedy that problem with a vintage Alfa Romeo GTV.
Had a 71 BMW CSL "prototype" for about 15 years. Loved that car but it went way up in value. I got a little paranoid just driving it around as I realized if I got into an accident value would drop and it would be very difficult to replace some parts. Solved that "problem" by selling it and buying a Ferrari...lol. Also had a pristine white 89 930. Sold that too...very bad decision.
I'm currently on my third air-cooled 911 - an '86 3.2 Carrera. Over the years I've had (2) 2002s, a 1602, a Bavaria, a 633csi, 535is, e36 M3, e39 M5, and a e90 335i. The 02s and Bavaria have been my favorites. The 335i convinced me that I'm over BMWs and their modern complexities. I haven't owned a Mondial yet. Although I'm working on it. 2cam
It was the switch. I bypassed the ignition switch with toggle switches for fuel pump and a momentary switch for starter. Starts every time now. Russ bought a green 3.0 after I bought his Mondial. I told him when he wants to sell it after restoring and hot rodding it that he can call me. I have a BMW 328 wagon with the M Sport package. I bought it after I sold my V10 S8. It's a pretty impressive handler.
Also had a pristine white 89 930. Sold that too...very bad decision.
The price is going crazy regarding the 930's specially the one manufactured from 75-77. Even the 89 930's price is up the roof already. I hope our Mondial's in time will also appreciate just like the 308 GT4 's.
I had a 928s4, a 944s and I now have three more modern BMW's. The three cars on my short list are a 2002, a 3.0 and a Mercedes Pagota.
I have a 1982 930 turbo; original/preserved/fully serviced. Black/black. Other cars are Panteras, Mondial. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I used to own an 84 Carrera, and an 80 SC. Now I have a GT3 so it is no longer aircooled, but still a Porsche. I have owned BMW for 30 years starting with the glorious 1988 E30 M3which I foolishly sold. Then an E36 M3 driven for 140,000 miles, handed down to a nephew. Now, my Home Depot car is a 2006 530 station wagon.
I hope our Mondial's in time will also appreciate just like the 308 GT4 's.
Me to but hope I can get a tMondial cab before that. Anyone have one for sale? There is a 89 blue/tan cab in NJ that I'm interested in but not sure about the dealer and I'm to far to go see in person. Anyone here know this car or is close to this dealer that can take a look or know of a close trust worthy mechanic who can do a PPI? The car is at Interstate Motorsport in Pennington, NJ. Dealer told me he has had a lot of calls on this car and actually put a call on speaker while I was talking to him about this very car. Very good sales ploy whether it was real or not, sounded legit. Thanks for any help. Can't seem to get link to work. Car is in Autotrader but their web site Interstate Motorsport is better.
1967 Karmann Ghia Convertible, and a 1974 Karmann Ghia Coupe. Back in the day, I think they used to refer to these as the "Poor Mans Porsche". I used to infuriate a former boss by calling his 87 911 Turbo - "Your Poor Mans Ghia"! Here's a pic of the 67 - minus the top that I'm installing (and a few other bits). The 74 is in pieces on my garage floor undergoing a full restoration - the pan is done. Body just started. Sid Image Unavailable, Please Login

I've had a 95 993 convertible for many years. No mechanical problems but the seals are drying out so its starting to leak a little oil. Least used of my 5 sports cars but I really don't know why.
I have a 1991 BMW 730i which runs like new and passed the Swiss technical visit with the comment from the inspector that the "car is like new" and a 2005 Porsche Cayenne S in Switzerland. My Mondial T is in the US along with my workhorse 2000 Honda Accord.
