Hi sabertooth, Was there a reason that you were driving your beautiful Mondi, not like a Sabertooth Tiger, but more like a house kitten with an "upper RPM respiratory issue". You were short shifting throughout your video. Is she OK? Cheers, Hank
When my engine isn't on working temp, I also stay under 3000rpm. Last time a small Toyota wanted to play, but sinced the Mondi wasn't all warmed up she refused. Toyota won, I needed a coffee.
Owners manual says 4,000 rpm before warm-up but 3,000 is prudent. Today about 40 miles almost never below 4,000 rpms. Long hill in third at 6,500 rpms full throttle. About half a dozen second gear max G turns with 6,500 rpm exit and some drift. [It had been pushing a bit then checked tire pressure and one of the fronts was down to 35psi from my 40psi all around.] After 10,000 miles in two years the car is amortized. And so now I am driving it one gear lower. Still seldom do even 7,000 rpms since I scattered a clutch back in 2013 at about 8,000 rpm. If it hurts don't do that. Anyway, the car is best 4,000 rpms - 6,500 rpms. It seems to like it, as well! But the car is a joy at ANY rpms. It is a kitty cat.....
