I'm in need of the square plastic cap that covers the screw on either side of the cabrio top pull up handle strap. Anyone have a spare?

    I need one too.

Black plastic, or is it a metal cover?

Looks like the handle on top of one of my old Fender amps. Wonder if they are the same?

I found a guy parting a Mondi on ebay and sent him a message to see if he had one and we did a private sale. The wreckers might have some around still on a car.

I think the 3d printing is thee best chance we have. Anybody have a source on this kind of service?

    Ron,

I can send you my other one but I am traveling and will not be available back at my car until May 3rd. If you can find another it might be faster. Otherwise I can send it then.

Looks easy enough to to reproduce.
    The process depends on need.
The best way to proceed involves making a simple RTV tool.

The cost would depend on volume. If possible I'd like to get an idea as to how many would be needed so I can decide which way to proceed. I know it depends on cost and I can't commit to that now, however, if there is a decent need, I'd guess the cost would be about $30.00 each.

Based on that, who needs them?

Also, I'm heading to Tokyo and Thailand on Monday and won't be back for two weeks so I won't be able to make any progress on this until I return.

    Thanks
    - Ron Frohock

Alternatively, I spent some time looking for straps that might have the type of black plastic caps that are needed.
I did find some similar pieces that are sold as Guitar Amp Strap Handles. They aren't exactly the same but they look close.
I would encourage anyone else to spend some time surfing the net to see if there is something off the shelf.

It does look like a Fender Amp handle.

The problem is, at least on the ones I own, is that there is no cover over the screws, so we are back to either leaving it that way or painting the ends/ screws black.

    Pics of three examples below:

One on the tweed with black painted ends but exposed screws.
One on the black amp with silver ends and exposed screws.

The strap on the black Marshall amp in the last pic has covers, but it is much too wide by about 2" or so.

I will have to look and see if anyone makes a small one with snap on covers.

Third photo is close but not exactly right for my 1990 T. The screws are covered on mine. The cover is solid black plastic and clips on to the mounting piece.

    I think this may work:
Marshall Amplifier Handle Small | eBay

It is the smaller version of the one in pic #3 in my post above.

Anyone in the UK want to get one to try?

Shipping to the US is 1.5x the price of the handle.
