Hey Bruno, If you're talking about "overall" cleaning, since I'm really not a qualified carpet technician, I would advise you to call one of your local professional high end auto detailers for guidance. But if you're talking about addressing "specific spots" (like the oil dab that came from the bottom of your shoe), I can personally recommend a spray-on product called "AWESOME". It is available almost everywhere, and is as cheap as the dog poop on your front lawn. Spray it on - brush it off. Been there - done that - and it works. Cheers, Hankster
Most Cabs I've seen are overdue for carpet replacement. That includes most convertibles over 20 years of age.
That may be the route I take. Who do you recommend for carpet kits? Also, is it something I can do myself? I'm pretty handy. BTW, thanks for the tool kit info from Ricambi. I ended up purchasing the tool kit.
There are a few to choose from and these have been recommended over the years: Carpets, Rubber Mats and Other Floor Covers for Ferrari Cars from World Upholstery & Trim 1991 - GAHH Online Store Re-Originals, Inc. - Restoration Headquarters - Upholstery I haven't replaced the carpets on a Mondial but it appears to be pretty straight forward. There is a product called Folex that is sometimes at Canadian Tire, an old product that is pretty amazing for carpet staining. Seems harmless to any material I have used it on (including the beige interior surface of my 3.2 cab roof). I think most of the Ferrari carpets are wool, so you do not want soak the fabric with too much water based product.
Most of the companies that do professional home carpet cleaning will come and do your car for you. They work out of their vans so they are mobile and usually get good results.
