Great check! which cam belts are you using? The ones (Dayco) that Ferrari is using or other brands? I got a pair from an unknown brand and they tend to stretch after a while. I don't have this with Dayco.

Thank you, as always very informative.
Can you describe how to distinguish a bad bearing by audio? Does it grind, have changes in pitch?
Also, did watch the Fiat vs. Ferrari comparison, is there a crack at the bottom of the Mondial's windscreen?

    Cheers

Hi Braq, a good bearing makes swishing rolling sound, kind of like someone blowing very softly in your ear, ha ha. A bad bearing rumbles and sounds harsh it can sometimes whine but by then it'll be really bad. It's tough to describe the differance but the home mechanic is well advised to get practiced at listening to such things under normal conditions so that you 'get your ear in'
Listening to and engine can help an early diagnosis before a possible component failiure.
The Windshield Crack!! Oh yes, that was a battle scar from chasing a Ducati down a twisty country road.
The rear tyre picked up a stone and chucked it at my screen damn it!
    All the best Bell ;-)

Hey Todd, she's going to do a cambelt change on Cavello the other Ferrari very soon...
She has a brake issue on her X19 to sort out first though ;-)
