Just started noticing a few drops of oil seeping out. Seems to be coming from both spacers at the rear of the engine block. Everything looks tight. Yet, somehow they both started to show seepage simultaneously.

Could this somehow be temperature related? It's gotten much colder here in recent weeks. Other than that, can't figure out what's going on.

Any ideas? Tighten up the bolts?

It cannot come from the behind the spacer as it is al solidly closed. It can come from anywhere when it is hanging on this level even from the front of the engine.

There are though places known for leaks.
    1. Camshaft seals nose and tail. Meaning on the rotor side and belt side.
    2. Behind the starter motor there is an oil tube going directly into the sump from the oil catcher. This one is often forgotten to be replaced.
    3. Steel braided hose might have rubbed to the frame and is leaking.

Feel with your fingers (with or without gloves) around the heads etc to see if you catch oil. It is not uncommon to have tiny leaks, but indeed very annoying :)

    Thanks for the info!

Just had a guy look at it. He thinks that the fluid from inside the engine mounts are seeping out and dripping down to where it is in the photo. Strange that all would do that at the same time.

Does that sound plausible? No idea how old the mounts are. Is this a safety issue to have "leaking" mounts?

Quite impossible :) There is nothing behind the mount(s). The studs do not go entirely through as well. Here is a pic of the area that is on your photo. The arrow is the surface behind the mount. I would go to someone that knows these cars and the leak should be found in 10 to 15 min is my hunch.

Is it gearbox oil or engine oil, that's what you will need to dertermine first... :)
Could be from the drive output seals even.

from the picture if we're looking at it from the bottom appears to be higher up than that area itself. look at how the adjoining plate also has oil on the threads of the bolt that attaches it.

this tells me that it's higher, and that this is just the pooling point.

get in there and take a pressure washer to the area and completely clean it off.

go to a parts store and buy some oil dye, toss it in the filler cap, and then you can use a black light to trace the dye from where it seeps after a bit of driving.

    Thanks again for the info.
It's definitely collecting in more than one location. This photo was taken at the same time as the last. the car has now sat for a week after I last drove it. Need to check it again to see what the situation is. Will probably need to bring it in. Hoping this will not require major surgery to remedy.
