    I am doing a major on my 3.2 QV and have decided that while the engine compartment is more accessible I might as well do fuel and coolant hoses. I can find braided fuel hoses fairly easily but would like to replace the 20 mm ID braided breather hoses as well. Does anyone have a source for the larger diameter braided hose?

    Gates appears to have it in various sizes and see it on Ebay as well......

    These guys do work for NASCAR and can provide just about any hose you need. They did a set of F1 hoses for a friend for $140 vs many thousands from Ferrari. Plus they were SS wrapped.

    Might want to reconsider doing the fuel hoses in braided SS. SS conducts electricity, and a leak and a spark could spell disaster. Most of the new cars and race cars are using the braided fiber hoses now, Its not the ss braid that breaks down usually but the rubber inside those hoses. I will admit they due look nicer then the black braided fiber hoses. Eye candy.

    FYI, some of the current braided hoses are more jet black in colour, while others are rather grey, so might want to do all in the same brand. I think the original were the greyer type. There is also some nos still lying around, Eurospares had some a few years ago, they were the original SGH logoed cloth ones like the originals and are already cut to size.
