Spoke with a machine shop we deal with at work about the possibility of machining the adapter like Carobu does for the Konis. Of Course it would have to be cheap enough to be beneficial as a DIY "kit" versus buying coilovers or having the Konis sent out to be modified.
I wanted to see if there was any interest from any members. I have no details right now like pricing, that would no doubt be determined by the quantity.
I will include a poll to get a general idea of the quantity when I speak to them
    Thanks

I letting this run for 10 days to get an idea, in the mean time if anyone has an old rear and front shock that can not be rebuilt I could use it to begin drawing it in autocad.

Anyone have link to the carobu product/item? I've searched google and their site but haven't had much luck. I think I've seen them before in teh 308 section, but something is different about the length or offset of the mondials suspension that requires some different design right? Thanks Voted interested too BTW

Just a quick update, speaking with the machine shop any they would definitely like to have a front and rear shock in hand, I haven't found a good front and rear to use so I will have to use my cars shocks. Just sold my 911 so the Mondial has become my daily driver for the time being.

My cars' shocks need refurbishment sooner or later.
Afraid that shipping costs and importing duties will kill the deal, but I'm all ears now!

I've done this myself twice now, first was about 10yrs ago and the last was last yr for a late 328. The top mount is unique but not too difficult to work around, the real trick is getting the right shock/spring combo to work with the change in height. I've not been able to determine exactly why Ferrari used such an interesting top mount but the mount does allow for 360* axial rotation, i.e. like a spherical mount, though the upper and lower A-arms preclude such movement.

I haven't found a shop that is willing to undertake machining them due to liability. All of the shops I spoke with said it could be done easily as a small run but the liability was to great and they turned it down.
