    Due to be picked up by the shipper late this week for delivery late next week. :)

    Interestingly, when I searched FChat on the serial number, it shows up, but not from a previous owner, from quotes about the Mondial. Seems that this is the first 1988 sold in the US.

    It has just shy of 28,000 miles, and is in "driver" condition. Paint seems to be great, but it's due for a major and is missing the "accessories" (i.e. no tool kit, jack kit, the original steering wheel has been replaced, etc.).

    I don't really want a show car, so it works for me. I'll post pics when I can :)

    Do you have a 3.2, QV or 8? Is yours a 3.2 Red/Tan? If so, they will be twins for sure! (please excuse the "pimping" steering wheel... will be changed ASAP!).

    I used to own 308 GTSI #49531, but the 308 series is too high for me now. Plus, the Mondial has a BACK SEAT! The 8 year old (step-daughter) is just as excited as I am!!! :) Sssshhhh.... I bought her a "Barbie Ferrari" for Christmas... so her Barbie's can ride along too!

    James, sounds awesome - I wish you and your daughter many miles of happiness.

    Make sure you get her sorted if it's been in storage for a while, expect the worse - hope for the best! Since she is due for a major - make sure you deal with all the usual suspects and iron out the gremlins.

    The car is shipping from Washington State, but there is a smidge of a snafu with the shipping (sort of my fault) so the shipping is delayed until early December.

    That sucks, because I was looking forward to getting it while it is still warm enough to drive with the top down... :(

    But, it's ok. Maybe this will help with me not missing it while it's getting the major.

    I'll update ASAP.

    UPDATE:

    My car is still with FoD... but good news.

    It passed emissions first shot!!! CO was 10% of allowable, CO2 was very similar (10% or so but don't remember exact numbers).

    FIRST SHOT!

    YAY!

    Picked up the 88 Mondial from FoD. It's now safe at its new home!!! :)

    I'll post pics when I can...

    Considering this was my 2nd fcar, and it's been a while since my first... if anyone saw a paranoid guy in a santa hat driving in the south metro area looking like he was going to have a heart attack, that was me... LOL
