To start off, I'm absolutely loving my T Coupe. And as its a relatively rare model in the states, I was curious how many T Coupe owners are on Ferrari chat.

Going into my 2nd year of ownership having purchased mine from the original owner and I still echo your sentiments. Fantastic driving car - and I've owned many - that is tragically underrated. Someone will need to pry the keys away from me.

I'm here and following F-Chat regularly.
Sounds like you caught the fever. I know the feeling.
I've logged in 7,000mi in the last 10 months. I'm second owner and purchased it in 1999.
Seat time in these cars are crazy fun!

    Same here !

    Agree!

The fever is on high! At the rate I'm going I should easily clock 7000 miles of seat time a year. Hope there a few more out there as well!

Anyone know how many of the 40 imported in '89 to the US are still around?

Shhhhhh, don't let the word spread!!!! If people find out these cars are not slower then Yugos, don't break everyday, has the same engine as the 308/328/348, handle easier then them, have all the perks of Ferrari ownership, and to top it off - all at the fraction of the cost - there goes my bank!!!!

    ---
    Keep the myth going:

Don't you all know? It's the worst car of all time!!!!! How do I know? Some article referencing another article, that referenced another article, that quoted somebody that was quoting somebody else told me so!!!
    ---

I need my parts to just to be ridiculously expensive, not stupid expensive!!!

    ;)

I've had my red/tan completely original t coupe since April, 2006.

As I write this, the car is outside warming up; and I will drive her to the local shop for a quick state inspection.

Forty-three t coupes were exported by Ferrari to the United States.

    Congratulations!

Enjoy the drive and do what I'd do every time I driver her, take the long way!

It was my understanding that 43 were imported to North America : 40 to the US and 3 to Canada. I could be wrong, but in any case it'd be interesting to know how many are still around.

I bought a 1989 t from Legendary Motorcars in September - Black/Black. Lot's of fixes to accomplish, but the drivetrain is strong.

I am not on here that often but I enjoy the car. Not as quick as some of the current crop of cars, but for a 27 year old car, 300 bhp manages to go far in a car that is about 3400 lbs.

As far as I know I have the only U.S. t coupe in Prugna.

    Regards,
    Jerry

Met up with a friend yesterday in a first gen (1990) ZR-1 and had some fun on the twisties along the Delaware River:

We were out from morning until dusk and I swear the Mondi felt happier at the end of the day form all the exercise. It reinforced the belief that these are meant to driven.

Here's a front end shot at the end of yesterday, headlights up.

I am fortunate to be the 4th. caretaker of the first '89 T Coupe (81342) to be imported. I didn't know that she was the first until after I bought the car and posted here.

    Oh, and also family time.

Special to be the first s/n. I understand my s/n 82587 is said to be the last.
Does anyone have the s/n range for USA spec t-Coupes? Maybe I missed that post.

I've not seen that list, FWIW mine is S/N 81514. Would be cool to know the S/N's for all 43 of the USA spec t-Coupes.

If Roc's post is correct and so is yours, then the range would be 81342 to 82587. This is the post with the complete numbers and ranges: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/mondial/355401-ferrari-mondial-production-sales-numbers.html
