Hi folks: I am interested in buying a clean Mondial 3.2. Does anyone know of an owner who is willing to consider parting with his or her car? Thanks, Sam in Saratoga
Pretty nice looking coupe not far from you... https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/ferrari/mondial/1886667.html Says it's good to go in CA.
CarGurus? Seriously? lol Joking aside, for the Mondial, ebay is best for trending watching and opportunities. ferrari mondial | eBay However, for the global market, this one is best: http://www.finecars.cc/ Remember, there are very few of these cars to begin with (as opposed to Porsches).
Hi Sam, I have some photos of Robert's - I believe he did the major on it. You should definitely go take a look especially since it's pretty close to you.
Yeah it looks great. Is the owner a member here? I know what you mean, too. So often cars get detailed and look like they got dipped in Polyurethane...especially the tires and leather!
Can you email the photos to me? Is this the one in Petaluma? BTW, I prefer a convertible. Thanks, Sam
I believe there is a blue over tan (or creme?) 3.2 cabriolet on ebay (not mine, no affiliation, mine's red/tan ). Auction: 1988 Ferrari Mondial | eBay If the link doesn't work, it's item number 182424323994 James in Denver
Its Tdf or Blu Serra Met. When in the sun, it looks like my tdf. But in shadow its more like Blu Serra Met. Any thoughts ?! Nice car by the way.... Guido Image Unavailable, Please Login
To my eye that looks like TDF. TDF can look very dark in shade - almost a different colour. Blue Sera always looks darker than that to me, even in bright sun.
Hi Sam, sorry for the delay, I was able to only find one picture, I'll try to get more details for you Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks, I actually went over and saw Roberto personally. I checked out the car. There is a new problem: My wife will not give me permission to buy another Ferrari. Hmm ... I wonder if I can find someone who would let me secretly park the car at their home??
Nice Pic, thats my Mondial (Can tell by the rims). It was with him since April to early Sept for Clutch Slave replacement and a few others. He did have one for sale at that time which had a the interior replaced. Not sure if he still has it. I'll take mine back in 1-3 months for belt replacement and valve adjustment.
Hi Paully & Sam, My apologies on posting the wrong car! I had sincerely thought it was the correct one! Paully, let me know if you want me to take down the picture. Be well to the both of you!
Thanks folks. Still trying to sweet talk my wife into letting me buy another Ferrari. Let's see how things go. - Sam in Saratoga
Just start throwing around legal terms every time she says no... "Point of order!" "I object!" And if all else fails, you can always try "approaching the bench". Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
Petitioner moves for an additional acquisition of joint asset in this marriage. Motion denied. Petitioner asks the court to order Respondent to agree previous request for dilution of liquid property Denied Permission to approach the bench Granted ... murmuring.... Petitioner and Respondent have agreed to dilute liquid assets to purchase said joint property (the motor vehicle) for the sole enjoyment of Petitioner and also purchase a small 2 carat diamond ring as separate property for the sole benefits of Respondent. So ordered. Adjouned.
Paul, all good. You can leave it up. He did have one for sale in the spring/summer but I think he sold it in August or late July. I stopped in there Thursday since I was near by and got pricing on doing belts, valve adjustment, clutch and brakes. Probably do the first 2 in a few months after I tackle the self job of rear window motors and frame/top exchange.
