My early low milage Mondial QV (38kms/24miles) is fitted with different wheels on each site. On the left it has Mondial 8 wheels and on the right QV wheels. Is this is a typical 'Italian' solution of when running out of one part just continuing with the newer part?

    Anyone an idea on this?

I own two Mondials. Both in Argento.

In the parts listings the Mondial 8 wheels are superseded to the QV wheels. Same specs, correct?

Specs, in this case I assume the wheel size, are the same. But the appearance between them look difference.

Lots of strange things have happened to some of these cars along the way. It seems that car flippers would swap parts to put the best pieces on one in order to gain the highest price. Which would leave one car with mismatched configurations.

May guess is that the offset specs are different between the 8 and QV wheels (been a long time since I looked at them). If that's the case, then I seriously doubt the Factory would have released the car that way. Also, if different offsets, then 4 of each is best (no mix).

In what way are they different? Is it just the appearance or is the specification different? I thought they were supposed to be inter-changeable.

it is just the appearance which is different.
