I'm writing from Ontario and just starting a search for a replacement engine for a 1988 Mondial 3.2.

I've searched auto trader, eBay, and a few scrapyards so far.

Any leads you might have or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Kind Regards,
    Redpony

Eurospares in the uk usually have a selection of used and new engines
They are showing 2 under the breaking for spares, a lhd with 33000 on the engine, just about run in.

I have one for a Mondial T, not for a 3,2 unfortunately. Eurospares' asking price is 16000 UK pounds on average, that's without the gearbox. They don't have any at the moment as far as I can see. You can call them to make sure.

while not a 3.2, could buy the car, use the engine and part out the rest and probably actually make some $

    Sacrilege! Putting a 3.0 in a 3.2 :(

Just find a beater 328 and tear it up.

The 3.2 motors are very stout. Why the need for a replacement over a repair instead?

I found a 3,2L engine for you, here's a pic of it. It's located in Belgium, Europe.
It's complete, gearbox and clutch are there too. Send me PM if interested.

I too searched for my engine for 20 years. Best I could come up with was a lump of metal in the back covered in wires that made a lot of noise but didn't put out any power...
