Just removed my entire dash for some much needed AC repairs, and this sticker was firmly attached to the bulkhead under the dash. Sure could use Deliberto's help and this time if in fact it might be someone's name, don't speak any Italian, Found it interesting, like finding an old build sheet under a cars rear seats. Translation anyone?

    Stef,
Any idea why they would put a "deliberate" sticker in an unseen place?

What was done, or undone "deliberately?"

    Found on F-chat:

""deliberato" is the technical term used in the Italian automotive business to say "approved", or "passed", as in passed the post-assembly inspection. It simply means it has passed the check. "Matr. N°" means "employee number". In this case, rather than putting a number, it was signed by the employee who performed the inspection "

In Italian (and in French) the word may have different senses; one of these is indeed "done after having measured the consequences", which is "deliberate" in English or "délibéré" in French, in the sense of "done on purpose".

Another one, related to the first, has a legal meaning, and latin right is different from common law inspired legal systems; here "délibéré", or "deliberato" means a decision taken by a juge, or a jury, in court at the end of a process of careful analysis: the "deliberato" is the justification of the decision (in French again, le délibéré). It means that everything has been studied and logically articulated for the final decision to be stated. Here, the "délibéré" or "deliberato" is the résumé listing all the legal arguments logically towards the final decision, that they justify.

Here, in italian automobile industry, it has about the same sense: it means that everything that should be thoroughly examinated, has indeed be, that is: all the logical suite of controls and checks, and that the car has been passed.

And in Detroit they just throw a wrench in the door so you can chase the rattle for a while, lol!

Not at all legend. The ford works here in Canada were throwing pop cans and nuts and bolts in the doors before putting on the door panels during a labor dispute. It does happen but it's kept quite.

    Excellent explanation above.
    Deliberate means conscious decision.
The seldom used "deliberated" is the right translation, i.e. conscious decision taken and accepted by employee (48).

    No.
Matricola (or Matr. Nr.) is just the item number and has nothing to do with an employee or a name.
If you look at factory build sheets, for example,, the matricola number can be an engine number or a gearbox number or another part number, etc. The register or roll number, etc.
No relation to a specific person or employee.
The deliberato and matricola sticker is just a sticker saying "delivered" or "checked" and the item number.
