Started the Mondial this morning, and it runs terribly. Can't even give gas to change idle. Ran fine about two weeks ago.

Starting to get the Ferrari blues. This is absolutely the most unreliable car I have ever owned. Never had car run like this.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. My mechanic is on vacation. Maybe it is something simple.

Most likely your protection relay is not working. Confirm/deny if the frequency valve is "buzzing" (by touching it) -- it should "buzz" whenever the fuel pump runs, so: with the engine running (even if poorly), with engine cranking, or with the safety switch unplugged + key "on" (engine not running). Try a search on something like "protection relay fuse".

How much fuel pressure do you have ? Is the fuel pump running, take the rear wheel off to find it.
How many cylinders firing- start from cold, run for a minute , stop it and feel each exhaust pipe by the heads for temperature.

I agree on fuel preassure. Maybe fuel filter??

But i would also check ignition.

But if u cant rev at all then fuel seems likely. If its firing on just a few cyl then it will still rev a bit

I would be worried about the mechanical "tapping" noise. Is that your AC belt ?

I would take the RR wheel off, and access panel. Make sure your timing belts are good, and aligned.

Pull the return hose off the accumulator to see if it's leaking.

Check spark on front and rear banks to make sure both coils are working.

I think the tapping noise is the belts. It sometimes does this when cold.

I had it towed this week. Mechanic won't be able to check out for another week or so. Will update once I hear back.
