been eyeing this one for like a year now, never been impuse enough to take it, but on the first day of the new year, i took it home. And im really glad i did!! rode it first thing in the morning and boy was i surprised by the plush/soft and comfy ride and the amount of power for such a heavy (for me) bike. The comfortable suspension was a shock mainly because the front forks were supposively identical to my 1090, and after adjusting them a dozen times i can never get my brute to not be nervous or ride like this out of the box hellcat. The rear shocks are also identical to my confedy fighter's and im shocked again that its far less jarring than that. Anyway, super comfortable bike for me to ride confidently fast right away. The GP shifting is stupid and i locked the rears numerous times when i want up but went down, scary ***** really. But i love getting used to new *****, so thats like a plus. im glad the bike was awesome, because riding it home gave me cramps cause of the new position and stupid GP pattern, and i thought im gonna super regret it, ......... but now, im going up again! pics : My Hellcat... - Rennlist Discussion Forums
Fantastic motorcycle. I've wanted one since I first saw one in the magazines. Congratulations! Where did you get it?
love the hellcat! congrats..must not be easy to get it smog and tag there. btw, the road leading to the coffee place is pretty nice too!
Cool.. I saw one in the metal here only recently.. I love the details. They are working on compliance to be allowed to be registered here.. about $70-80K'ish or so landed..
As opposed to conventional shifting, GP shifting is good for racing: 1up 4 down. Takes getting used to but most hard core sport bikers convert to this pattern or reverse shift. But on a confederate hellcat, major labor is required to put it to conventional shifting so I didn't bother. I tried but I just leave it as is which it's also pretty interesting as a character of this bike .
My very first bike, a Ducati 450 Desmo, had right hand side 1 up 4 down.. I liked it and was very good method for rapid upshift and just a tad more effort is all for downshift.
