ANY HD V-ROD OWNERS?

The little high chair is funny. I have always liked the looks of this bike and I have sat on quite a few at different dealers. Comfortable low seating position (stock) and good performance numbers. But even with this meaty bike, compared to a full fairing sportbike, when you look down it sems like you are riding a bicycle. Plus no wind protection.

 

I had a Nightrod for a year and I loved it. It still shocks me how many people would ask me questions about it. I couldn't go anywhere without someone taking pictures of it or asking questions.

Love it. I keep thinking of selling Duc and picking up a Nightrod so the wife can ride with me.

I always enjoy having new bikes. I wanted to get back into drag racing again so I switched back to a Japanese bike. I greatly miss my nightrod and it was an amazing bike and I will own one again but the next one will have a RCC turbo kit. Heres my bike

Does she want to ride ?
I bought a Road King with the impression my wife would want to; Nope.

I've learned over time to buy toys for myself not my assumption of someone else's desires.

Rent one for a weekend.

 

Does anybody make a real motorcycle frame for this engine? You know, once with a normal rake and trail? This looks like a cool motor, but geeze...

Agreed, rent one, I did, in GUAM of all places, and the rake scared me off a bit, until I rode it, the thing looks like it would be heavy or slow to turn, but it isn't...this is the engine Porsche helped design.

The bucket seat is understandable. Most Harley riders, (me included) aren't used to that acceleration. Acceleration more fitting to comparison? the KTM I ride as well.

I will say the only think I didn't like about that bike was the fuel capacity/mpg…but I was smiling when I rode it.

 

I had two over the years. Problem with the VRod is that it is so well designed. It kept thinking it was a sport bike and I rode it like one hahaha. Wife talked me into buying one in the first place, she was right.

 

Ive been having the same dilema. Thinking about selling my r1 for a custom nightrod i love the look

 

My Night Rod Special is going through major transformation from V Rod to Beast.... Here are the new body parts and what it will look like upon completion....
