    So Nice..
Makes me want to ride again..

    The Devil
The 2015 Diavel arrives with all the latest technology – ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Riding Modes – wrapped in a 452-lb. (Carbon model) package. And of course, the Diavel – which is local Borgo Panigale dialect for “devil,” pronounced dee-ah-vel – arrives with the 240mm Pirelli rear tire that screams muscle.

To me, it looks unbalanced. The front/tank area is huge and rear is narrow(ish) and stubby. I love the concept, but cannot fall in love with its looks. I really want to like it.

I love it... ever since it came out. A phenomenal amount of tech for the money too.

'cept, I'm not too keen on the kicked up tail.

When they first came out I thought, uh-oh, "SUV".. and Ducati had sold out it's core values.

I've come around though to liking the execution and a recent road test I read gave them high rating for all the fun factors we all typically seek.. looks are, as always, a personal thing, but I'm not sure I'd notice if I was grinning madly inside my helmet giving it some wellie ;)

Initially I thought the same thing but after riding it, I changed my mind and besides it was supposedly, in my mind anyways, a less hardcore speed machine than their sports bikes but more sporty than the monsters....

Too bad the thread title compares this gorgeous piece of kit to the V-Rod, a design more than a decade old that when introduced struggled to match the performance of some Japanese crusiers that had been made ten years before that. Diavel when introduced a few years ago was the hardest-accelerating Ducati ever (due to long wheelbase and high torque).

The Diavel is unique and while I am not a "cruiser" guy, it along with the Griso are two bikes I find very appealing of the genre.

Someone came by the store with one when they 1st came out, and I rode it around the store. It is very badass looking, and it will never be mistaken for anything else. I found the seat and riding position to be very comfortable - I'd love to try one over an afternoon of riding....... And the width of that rear tire - sort of Countach-ish!

You Obviously have never driven the Porsche designed engine that resides in an American based Show stopper cruiser..I,d say the HD V Rod Engine remains state of the art....10 years later.
Too bad you are not a cruiser guy.

Now tell me....who had what first?

Just think of it this way, I am one less person who, after riding one, is a potential customer. This leaves more for you.

Actually V-rod (specifically the "Street Rod" only made in 2006-07 IIRC) is the only Harley I would even think about owning. But with that said there are many other machines I would rather have first.

Of all time?!! That's high praise indeed! Definitely another hot bike from Ducati.

My personal "best looking of all time" is a Ducati as well, but it's the 916/996/998 - absolutely awesome.

To each their own - I get it. I love both cruisers and sport bikes, and I agree the V-Rod is a "tweener" (albeit awesome to me).

Still think HD / Ducati is a match made in heaven...waiting 25+ years for the marriage to happen (but I may die before it ever does).

No , thats not mine .
I had a fully chromed bike very similar to this with air shocks as well
This bike looks like it is slammed with airshocks too.
The fender is resting on the tire,
As soon as you start the bike you can raise the rear to your desired height.
I sold my bike to a fellow f chatter a few years back.
I miss it, if i had another this pic would be my build.

I do not like its looks at all. IMHO, the Ducati Sport Classic series are the best looking bikes of all times...
