Hey locals, From everything I can see, the dealer / restorer RPM and Steve Markowski appear to be straight-shooters. Has anyone had the experience of a lot of work done by them or a car restored? Thanks for the good & the bad...
I believe that some here have, certainly some of the guys in the FCA-NER have experience of them. I personally don't know them, but I know that the ferrari club events in VT have done tours of the shop.
I've never bought a car or had service from RPM but I can tell you that I have met Stefan and his father Peter, who are active vintage racers in VSCCA and seem to be straight shooters. I have heard only good things about their shop and their work.
One of the FCA Quebec chapter members had his 308 engine rebuilt there. He can't say enough good things about the place. Our chapter visited RPM in late September. It was like walking into the "Ali Baba's cave" of vintage Ferraris. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=138964981&postcount=31
There are several people on this board, who I know, who have bought cars from them or who have had components rebuilt by them(motors) and have been less than satisfied....to put it politely.
I've had a ton of work on my old 911s done there, don't have a single negative thing to say. I do know them personally, but (as I said in another thread) I wouldn't bring my old cars anywhere else.
Both Peter and Steve are great. I bought my 365 BB from them some years ago. I've ready nothing but positive things about RPM. Geno
Great guys and great shop. I've been to the shop and have seen their work. They've given me help in the past and were easy to work with. Take a look at their site and see their products.
Wow....talk about bumping a thread. Our FCA chapter went back again in August to visit RPM. He had the 212 Fontana up and running. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/142512698-post174.html
many years ago, I visited Peter Markowski to look at a friend's 4 headlight 6C2500 Alfa Romeo (no, not a 4 headlight 330GT like mine!) and a lookalike Cisitalia Savonuzzi. He also had many other interesting cars there. Certainly my fiend from NJ had no complaints and Peter was most helpful but . I need to contact him and cannot find his e-mail. Mine is ar.01177 which is at yahoo.co.uk. Your help would be appreciated.
I purchased my BB from RPM in 2012 and had a very good experience with Stephan and Peter. They were honest in describing the car and allowed me to putt it up on their lift and spend a few hours going over it. Their passion and enthusiasm for vintage sporting cars was very evident. They took the time and showed me projects they were currently engaged in and other interesting inventory on hand. My car remained at their shop while they attended to a few items I requested. In the mean time they came across a proper spare tire/wheel which my car was lacking, acquired it and threw it in at no cost to me because "it needed it". When it was ready they kindly delivered my car across three states en route to another pick up because the logistics fit nicely. A pleasure from beginning to end. We need more shops like RPM.

RPM and Peter have been are great supporters of the FCA and do great work. I thank and support all the way from Philadelphia. RPM is a First Class Ferrari Operation.
