Hey guys, just thought I start a thread here for the show..... 2014 Connecticut Lamborghini Show with Lamborghini of Boston -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please come join us! The Consorso Ferrari and Friends is on June 29, 2014 in beautiful West Hartford Center in Connecticut. LaSalle Road will be transformed AGAIN into a day of Italian cars. We have approx. 10,000 spectators. We have approx. 140 Italian cars. More are expected this year. We have Lamborghini Boston, Miller, Valenti, and more with a dazzling display of cars. This all benefits The Connecticut Children's Medical Center. We raised $100,000 last year. And we are almost at the $1,000,000 mark in total for all the years this has been put on. Thank you to the FCA/NER for continued visions. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOohx0oDqhY&feature=player_embedded]Concorso Ferrari and Friends - YouTube[/ame]
For those entering a car, and who would like to volunteer during the day, there is a spot on the entry form you can check off. You will receive a concorso volunteer t-shirt and are welcomed to help out with various tasks throughout the day. Thankyou to those willing to volunteer, we are looking forward to seeing everyone again this year helping us make this a successful 2014 event.
You are welcome Devon Just a note to other Italian motorcyclist: We are not prepared to "officially" accept Italian motorcycle this year. After discussing with my colleagues, we will revisit this in the off season for next year. Next week, we should have some updates about the show. It coming up fast!
Sorry to repost. We are welcoming those who would like to volunteer to help the day of the event. If anyone has an older son or daughter that would be interested please let us know. A reply here, or the phone number on the web site is (203)470-8080. It's mainly helping with small tasks, the biggie is we are hoping to conquer the crowd control during the return of the parade with the kids from the children's hospital. The event is coming along and shaping up nicely.
I have read some threads regarding surrounding States gatherings. We would love to have all of you join us for the day or a part of. Some cars roll in individually, some roll in as groups that have caravanned to West Hartford, CT., it's a great day. Cars show up from all over N.E. and beyond. If you can make we look forward to you coming.
Sweet, we all will now have at least one beauty, and possibly a Ducati, to lust over! Kidding....registrations are ahead of past years at this time. Thankyou Sam231
WARNING: This weekend is the event. Anybody coming from the Western part of the state or NY, Interstate 84 will be closed in both directions at Exit 30. They are inserting the new overpass, which they built on the side of the highway. I believe traffic will be getting off and back on at the exit....which will most likely be big backups. Suggestion: 84 to 691 to first exit, follow Rt10 north to 84 at exit 32. OR 84 to 691 to 91 north to 84 west in Hartford. OR just avoid 84 beyond Waterbury.
Weather looks to be great so far. What's a good time to get there as a spectator? Want to get some good parking and see the cars rolling in.
There's 4 great "rolling" times. 1) 7:30am when the race cars unload from trailers. 2) 9am when cars start lining up for the children's ride. 3) 10am to get a good spot for the cars coming back from children's ride. 4) end of event when all the cars scatter to wherever these beauty's live the rest of the year. If anyone is driving out from Mass and wants to create an early exotic caravan - give a pm. We like arriving early to soak in the entire day.
I can't wait! The adrenaline is already flowing. I'm surprised more don't caravan together. That experience alone is a great memory!
I can not even begin to tell everyone the cars that will be in the car corral. No need to take your Cialis this weekend.
I ask my Doctor if my heart was healthy enough for sex. He said my heart was fine but my penis was spent.
Looking forward to the event! Will be detailing my Ducati in a couple of days to get it all ready to just need finishing touches when I arrive!
A huge thank you in advance for everyone who works so hard to make this incredible event a reality !!! Car corral with what would you call them? ... super exotics Great venue with a beautiful street lined with 150 Italian exotics Raising funds for Connecticut Children's Medical Center However by far the most impressive - providing a special and joyous time for wonderful children and their families !!! And I don't know how you arranged it but the weather forecast for Sunday looks perfect. Thanks again for all that you do! - Ed -
I'm guessing Miller won't be bringing up a certain red Enzo? That might be in the salvage corral, not the vintage... Weather looking perfect, going to be a great event!
Looking forward to this... the word "vintage" is very interesting! I can't wait to see the corral. Just got the blue car all cleaned up and presentable. Just noticed that it turned 90,000 miles as well.
Well I'm very sun burned now, but what an amazing day. Between Jim Glickenhaus bringing P4/5 and there being an Enzo, F40, F50 and many, many more beautiful Ferraris, it is hard to ask for a better day. Thank you for letting me bring and park my Ducati, was great to see it between a beautiful F430 and an Aventador. I'll post my pictures in here soon! Most importantly thank you for everything you guys do to hold this event and give the kids from Hartford Children's such an amazing day and putting so much time and effort into this. Such an awesome day for them and a great experience.
Sweet! Glad to hear it's getting respect! killuminati_lodi has it sussed. And check out how that parking brake holds on that hill! My congratulations for a job well done to everyone involved. I'm sure it took a heroic effort. It was worth it just to see the copiloti arriving. Jay: Hope you got your battery situation sorted out and you guys got home quickly and safely. We should have tried charging it for longer, my apologies. OTOH, the photo op presented by one Ferrari jumpstarting another seemed to attract an interested audience. David: Your car looks good. By the time I got out from lunch at Bricco I think you had left. We need to trade notes some time. I also have an outstanding requirement to visit some friends in Huntington at some point, so maybe we can get together. I can share a lot of technical stuff with you. It was great seeing everyone as usual -- and this was certainly a great occasion. Best, Charles
