I've gone every year since I can remember (1960's). I consider this my local track which is only about 20-30mins away. The last 14 years was driving my 77 308 GTB and parking in the Italian corral and enjoying a few laps at lunch. Those days are over and this year I will be parking in the British Car corral with my 2012 Jaguar XKR . Hope to see some of the guys from the Italian group but will be meeting a new batch of folks. The show is usually great and has very special cars both racing and also in the parking areas. I'll be there Monday bright and early. See you then.
I will be there Friday -Monday. The Feature car will be the ABARTH. My Dad's old Ex Team Roosevelt twin cam just sold in Greenwich at the Bonham auction in June. But it has gone to the west coast. This is him in 1960 with the car. Leaving the 550 in Georgia. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Always enjoy seeing your Spyker at local events, I'll be there Sat as always...no Ferrari though, bringing the whole family...
I am headed up Sunday for Gathering of the Marques. Anybody care to ride up together? If not, I might meet the viper guys and go up with them.
I will be there racing my March 79B and Lotus 69FF. Have my Jaguar XK150S entered in the concours on Sunday. 599 will be there Monday only. Weather looking pretty good other than maybe Sunday am thundershowers; always a great event!
I'm going to tell you right now you better bring something good for good parking. I went with my mom last year (who has an early 2000s Odyssey), and they parked us like a mile away from the track with the rest of the minivans and low-grade Camaros and Corvettes. Meanwhile, all the guys with Porsches and BMWs got upfront parking. It sucked, and I'm sure you don't want to be in that situation.
I'm planning on running the 360 up, just went online to buy tickets and for $15 you can buy an "Italian Corral" parking pass. Done.
Awesome, I'll see you there then. Still deciding which car we should bring, we don't have anything that exotic...
I will be zooming up in the boxer sat and something else sunday, usualy park in the back lot under a tree for shade. Look forward to seeing some of you there. Where is this Italian car corral
It's right in the main parking lot. It's marked with a whole bunch of signs and stuff, you'll find it
There will be 35 volunteers pointing in 34 different directions, but look for the 75 Fiat 500's and head there..
Lol I don't think that's what they meant by the "Italian" car corral, I think they were thinking more like the Ferraris and the Lambos haha, but they ARE Italian, so who knows.
I will be bringing my 1970 Chevelle to the Gathering of the Marques on Sunday. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I plan on going up tomorrow (Saturday) morning but due to my morning schedule, will likely roll in around 9:00am. Does anyone know if the traffic on the way in at that time will be horrendous? I don't want to get to Salisbury, CT and then spend 2 hours waiting to get into the park. Sorry for the dumb question; I have never been to Lime Rock before.
