    Just a wild guess as you don't have an answer yet. In any spark plug wire I've seen, the wire is crimped to the connector.

    I think the issue is just how are these made? If the connector is crimped to the wire and then the boot is slid over during factory assembly, then it might be repairable if you can extract the connector from the boot without damaging things, and then re-crimp/solder/whatever. If it is made this way, then the connector might have some metal 'wings' that lock it in place inside the boot.

    If the boot is overmolded, then I can't imagine a way you could extract things and keep it intact.

    Crimp tools are available specifically for spark plug wire. Also, a speed shop might be able to come up with something, the hotrod guys know all about custom wiresets.

    yes.i dont have the tools and it seems the rubber is molded around the piece of metal inside.If anyone know how to make these and fix that wire, i would stop by this week. I have no idea how they make these boots. it seems the wire can slide off the bundle from the other side.

    More thoughts if you can't find local help:

    Call Kingsborne, describe your problem, and maybe they can supply one complete wire, or a boot and connector to get you going with someone local: http://www.kingsbornewires.com/

    I think the problem with anyone local is that they'll have difficulty sourcing a replacement boot and connector if it is needed. I think Kingsbourne can definitely provide a complete replacement, if they are willing to sell one wire. For $500 or so you can get a complete wireset.

    Modded Chrysler Hemi wiresets in the 5000 QV application. (I know this has also been done with Ferrari cars also that have deep plug wells):

    Lambostuff/Bullstuff Lamborghini LP 5000 QV Quatrovalve Countach Restoration: Custom Countach Spark Plug Wires

    Not a concourse solution, but as a temporary fix, you won't be running on 11 cylinders. Might be useful info. for someone local to work from.

    thanks. Very useful info. I was diggin thru my piles of parts and I found what i suspected: an old harness. I am gonna re-use a wire from it for now.

    but you know $500 or more for a bunch of wires like that makes me mad. I am closely looking at the wires and honestly I dont see $42 or more worth of material. the only thing you need is tool.

    I am getting so mad about ridiculous prices for crap like this that I am gonna look for someone doing them for me. I'll get a dozen set If that works. F... It! I cant beleive no one has done this already. It is just a freagging wire and 2 crimps and 2 rubber boots for heaven sake.

    I saw similar 512 BB wire on ebay going for $1400!! unreal.
    {rant over - I feel better now}

    Yeah, it's typical for any specialist car like these. It is maddening when you know what it costs to make. Glad you got it sorted out via the parts bin.

    I have various types of crimpers. If you can post a picture of the style you need I may be able to replicate it.
