with P 4/5 Competizione. Wayne Carini to be the Master of Ceremonies for the 9th Annual Americana Manhasset Concours d'Elegance
You have just guaranteed that this will be the biggest turnout ever at the Americana. Hope to be there..they will probably close off the exits on the LIE as people line up to get a glimpse.. The stores should pay you a commission!!!
Looking forward to it again this year. Last year's event was excellent, and the P 4/5 should be a real treat.
Looks like you will win Best in Show again !! We'll see you there, my car was selected for judging this year, but I know I don't have a shot at anything. It is always a good event and I love seeing what car you bring.
My understanding is it's too late to be judged. All cars in the front will be judged, any non-judged cars are as space is available in the back (South side).
I was there last year and the parking lot for spectators was just as nice as most of the cars being judged. This is one of the best shows I've ever seen, enjoyable place, nice people and a central location with easy access. I hope to make it this year as well
Many Fchatters complained that the judging was rigged at this event last year. I felt sorry for the entrants who spent a lot of time and money preparing their cars , only to be overlooked for lesser vehicles with connections to the sponsors. Hope the judging is more even this year.
All I can say is there was a Miura SV in the spectator parking lot last year (yes, a real one). It is *that* good. Can't wait to see P4/5 C!
Americana Manhasset - Long Island's Destination Luxury Shopping Center Might be too late but worth a shot.
As mentioned in some of the prior posts, this is one of those events where the spectator cars can be as interesting as many of the cars entered for judging (the P 4/5 excepted). You only need to register if you want your car to be judged. There is no fee to just walk around and see the cars.
+1 The parking lot itself is great. This! Girlfriend loved the shopping while we car nerds walked around and checked things out.
Taking pics of the cars is quite a feat when the crowds swell. IMHO: get there when the cars register. You can snap pics as they enter and when they are stationed without the crowds.
