    sjmst (Sam) suggested I start a new thread regarding the "Something To Think About" thread I started back in January. Actually a good idea since we are now about a month away. Hopefully all that replied are still coming. Meeting place will most likely be at a rest stop along the LIE (between exit 51 & 52) and then we rally out to Montauk Manor with a stop over at Lobster Roll for lunch. Hopefully we will have a beautiful day. The scenery out there is second to none and this could really turn out to be a great event. This rally will be open to anyone with a special interest car. Not just Fcars.

    I went on trip advisor and called the 3rd ranked place on there, Hartmans Britney Breezes Motel. Probably just a place to sleep.

    I just wrote to the manager at Montauk Manor (MM) again, and she is looking forward to having us. She asked if we would need rooms. I asked if there would be any special deals. Will let you know if so. I have stayed at MM many times. As nice as it gets out there!

    I had called MM and they required two nights. A couple other nicer places also said the same.

    I am a bit disappointed - I really wanted to do this rally. Disappointment is tempered by the reason for missing out is prior plans to be driving the green hell in Nurburgring. :)

    Are other people bringing their significant others, brothers, kids?
    I don't know who my co-pilot is going to be yet.
    I will probably bring my wife, but if she can't make it, my daughter will most likely want to go (17 y.o.). If neither of them can make it, I'm sure my brother would want to come.

    If no one brings the wife, please let me know......I'll break the news that high estrogen levels are not allowed at rallys, therefore she is not going! :D

    Just got back from a convention in Atlantic City (with my DD). Took GSP to 95 to Staten Island over the Verrazano Bridge to Long Island via the Belt Parkway. It's in pretty good shape! A couple of bumps in the road but nothing major. They fixed all the major potholes so should be a good ride from those coming from NJ this way.

    No one else from NJ has chimed in here yet, but it would fun to drive over with anyone who is going. If they are in a North. jersey and taking the GWB , I would go that way as well.

    How far of a ride was it from AC to Long Island?
    I spoke to Dan from Bradan. I might have him pick my car up here in South Jersey a few days prior and take the drive up in my daily. I am anal about putting to many miles on the car...But not as anal as Chris!! haha
