Why don't NJ have a night meet maybe from 6-9? Just curious.
There is a weeknight get together in Bergen county, usually at the Fireside Restaurant on Rte 17 every other week. Sponsored by Cars and Caffe.blogspot.com
May be we can meet up at Lowes on rt9 south. I believe its in Marlboro. Its the parking closest to rt9 as soon as you pull in. There is a starbucks also. Maybe we can try August 7 first Thursday and then possibly third Thursday 21 from 6-9. What do you all think about this.
If you do the Lowe's, make sure you get permission first. You don't want to end up like the GS Euros guys who got kicked out last year. At Starbucks, you buy something and you're a customer, so they can't kick you out as easily. Good luck!
There used to be a meet in the parking lot of Models/TJ Max/Starbucks shopping center on Thursday nights in Edgewater, NJ. Don't know if they still have it there. There's also a good huka lounge called wine and spirits there, just acrossed the parking lot.
Is anybody worried about getting kick out? I'm sure there's not going to be a hundred cars showing up.
For what it's worth, I think we're doing a Tuesday evening meet (6:30-9) on August 12th. The location will be announced soon. We'll probably do two in August to make up for July.
I mention Lowes, but I guess nobody is interested. Most of these car meets are in north jersey. Maybe someone else can come up with an idea. Some place in central or south jersey. I know there's one in Red Bank, but that's in the morning. I'm not a good organizer. Maybe someone can help.
Red Bank is a great spot, its the 2nd Saturday of the month. Maybe we could do it there at night. Its a great parking lot in a very upscale shopping strip mall. Just my two cents!
How about meeting up one night at AppleGates for some ice cream. The significant other's should appreciate that. Actually, any ice cream parlor would be nice. This one is easy to get to & has a large parking log. Applegate Farm - Homemade Ice Cream - HOME Image Unavailable, Please Login
I hate Newark (except for Ferry St & the restaurants), but how about Nastos on Jefferson in Newark. I think night is definitely out, though. A few blocks off Rt 20/McCarter & not far from Signature Cars & the old Arena Motors place. Good reviews on Yelp. https://plus.google.com/105727307986568177210/about?gl=us&hl=en Image Unavailable, Please Login
