Cars & Croissants NJ: Nov 2: Venue change to Chatham High School

For the upcoming meet on Sunday, we are returning to Mendham NJ. As past attendees will attest, the Daytop School location is absolutely gorgeous!

Here are the details:

Time: 8:30 am to 11:00 am

Daytop School NJ runs a long-term adolescent residential behavioral health program and educational facility in Mendham. When you enter the property off Main St., there will be kids there to direct you to locations on the front lawn for parking. Daytop will provide coffee and light snacks, and restroom facilities are available.

Please remember the usual common sense behaviors -- no burning rubber or loud engine revving in the parking lot or leaving the premises. We are guests at Daytop and they have been kind enough to let us use their facilities as a courtesy.

Please let your friends know who do not get the C&C emails.

As always, we will re-confirm on Friday in the event of weather issues.

Given the good soaking rain we are getting today, we are moving tomorrow's C&C to the Chatham High School parking lot. Please let your friends know about the venue change if they don't get these emails!

Please note that the Chatham High School is right in the middle of the suburbs with houses only a few feet from the parking lot. We ask you to respect the neighbors and be on your BEST behavior and avoid the temptation to rev your engine and peel out. We have a zero tolerance policy in this regard. If you do it, you will be asked not to return.

For those bringing your own baked goods and drinks for breakfast, please make sure you carry out any trash--much appreciated.

Venue change was done to avoid damage to Daytop's grounds. Driving a low car on a soaked grass field is not preferable either.

The Chatham lot is paved and should be dry by tomorrow morning.

We will return to Daytop later this year or next year.
