Anyone know of a self carwash in northern nj? Outside water has been shut off for winter in my house. Wanted to give car a rinse so figured self car wash could work

Just went there yesterday. Not impressed. Not sure but I think they could be using dirty water. Insane amount of spots on car and they weren't water marks. And nothing to dry car with. Not a great facility. Heard there is one in Hackensack

Why not just turn the valve and use your own clean water? The car washes use dirty cloudy recycled water. Good for the masses.

Landscaper shuts water off and blows out any remaining water in pipes with air compressor so pipes don't freeze for winter.

i live right near you. i am over in jefferson , on lake hopatcong, right befroe you get into sparta.

i have a huge storage place up in sparta and i use the self serve wash in franklin on rt 23. really clean and well maintained. there is a really ghetto one in dover but its bad. i have brought some of my other cars there, but its in horrible shape.

i dont know the name of the car wash, its the only one on rt 23 in franklyn or hardyston, its right after the walmart and next to the shoprite.

i love the lake, and we havd a couple houses that we rent out in sparta, both nice areas to live

Do you have access to your hot water heater, use the drain/flush valve?

I used to use mine this way before I added a hose bib with a H&C mixing valve inside the garage at the entrance.

There is one in Hackensack on River Road just south of and across the intersection from the Sears store. I've never used it with any of my cars, but the exterior looks clean and well kept

If you use a self service wash bring your own bucket, water (not a joke), detergent, and clean brush. Just use their water to rinse as those brushes can be dirty and dropped on the ground with little rocks and sand in them.

I go there frequently. It's a relatively new facility. They have both DIY bays and an automated touchless.

I use these mostly to knock off heavy dirt, bird droppings, salt etc. The car will by no means be "clean" without actual physical agitation but again, it's good to rinse off the nasty stuff or even before you were to do a hand wash or waterless wash after.

I take my Audi there and use the touchless auto.
