I have been hoping for rain to wash the salt off the road followed by 35+ or so temperatures, but so far no cooperation. Seems like winter is going to hang on.

At least some spring events are starting to be posted.

This morning I was second guessing taking my truck vs my 911 - holy crap, the ride home was crazy - pure ice! It got so bad so quickly - glad I took the truck.

    More snow Thursday - argh!

Besides a warm weather we need a couple of days of good rain. And after that we need DOT to fix all the pot holes on the roads.

It's going to take 2 weeks of 50s to melt this crap. Wouldn't hurt to throw in a few good rainstorms too.

I've had it bad this year- spent the past month and a half staring at a yellow 355 spider I've driven a whopping 1.5 miles up and down the street since it arrived via delivery truck from California in January...I have a great condition used tubi I'm going to have installed in the spring and am waiting for the salt to be gone already!

    BUTTTTTT

Like every year, when the spring weather comes and the fresh smell is in the air it will be that much more satisfying vs. if it was nice all year 'round!! People living in nice weather simply don't appreviate it as much :)

That's true. I think people at North East appreciate the good weather more than others. Especially when lately we go thru some tough winters.

    This is my real concern.

I stopped driving my Audi S5 DD and have been using my trailblazer just because of the potholes. I have never seen the roads torn up to this degree.

Even after the snow and salt are washed away, it will be a long time I think until the roads are in such a shape that I would feel comfortable driving my F-car or P-car.

It really pissed me off actually.

I pay roughly $200 a week in tolls just to drive 60 miles a day back and forth from NY to NJ everyday.

WTF do they do with all this money?

Interesting... I remember last winter to be the worst for potholes in recent memory. This year hasn't been as noticeably bad.

You know I thought everyone was exaggerating, but I went for the first real drive I've done in a while and the roads are especially poor this year. Worse than I can remember, frankly, and I've been driving in the area for about 12 years.

My DD is set up with Bilstein dampers and Eibach springs. Was not friendly!

I think this year is the worst ever!!! I'm talking about New York! Everywhere you go the roads are in a bad shape that I can ever remember. NYC, queens, brooblyn, Long Island ...

Last year was a disaster but this year is even worse. I drove the turnpike yesterday from the GWB to exit 7A and back.

Disaster. Potholes so deep the rebar is exposed. At one point, there were about 10 - 15 cars pulled over, all with flat tires.

Agree! I drive from nj to ny everyday. 45 miles each way. Awful. I have a 2015 cayenne S so it handles well but car dodged some nice rocks coming at me. Even if snow melts, probably won't be able to drive until mid April

Started her up today. Drove around the block a few times. I am strategically plotting my course to the highway to minimize potholes. Maybe next weekend.

In early spring I drive roads I know. Generally I'd drive it with my daily driver a few days before. Its not a big deal, Bergen County is crowded and there are only a few good roads close by, so a 30 minute diversion and I know what to expect. Of course 17 and 208 etc are a wreck but I drive them weekly so again I know what to expect.
