Hello fellow Ferrarichat Members, I am Dakota Crafton from Texas. I am a 20 year old college student that will be spending my spring break in NYC(Hurray). This will be my first time traveling to this extent.

My old college roommate and me will be staying at the Jazz Hostel(30 dollars a night with hot/cold showers from the reviews), 3 blocks west of Central Park.

Is there any must see things for two college students(On a budget) afoot in the big apple? We will have week long passes on the subway system.

I have also given thought of maybe getting together with another F-Chat member or two for a cigar or two, if this is possible.
I looked up Bradan's shop, but logistically it is not currently possible.

    TIA

We will be arriving at our hotel around 11PM, Monday March 16th and staying until 1PM Saturday March 21st.

Look forward to your responses, and the possibility of meeting some fellow Ferrarichat members.

Whatever type of music you're into, NYC has many venues for live performances. Also, there are a few good comedy clubs.

Gotham comedy club is a pretty entertaining spot. Otherwise Times Square and Central Park are worth a visit.

Empire State Building, World Trade Center - 9/11 memorial, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Central Park to name a few. Nightlife great in Meat Packing district. Upper east side bars loaded with young people. Have fun!

If you go the comedy club route, do check out the Comedy Cellar. It's legendary in the world of comedy; however, please note there is a cover charge and two item minimum.

As far as cheap eats: Papaya King on Upper East Side, likely any mom & pop joint in Chinatown/Little Italy, plus try a N.Y. style pizza slice....T

I live just a few blocks from the Jazz and am happy to suggest some places. Shoot me a PM. I will say, for an NYC first timer that the pass is a great start.

From 106th st you're only a 25 block walk or 2 subway stops to shake shack

F Spider, that's a very generous offer. I'd be interested!
