So my F430 needs a little help --someone backed their jeep into my front bumper and hood. The car was 100% pristine before this and I'm pretty pissed off buy what can you do. Can I get some recommendations on the very best bodywork/paint specialists on Long Island. I want it fixed perfectly so really want the best of the best. Any suggestions?
Car is serviced at FoLI....does it make sense to work through the dealer or go direct to the vendor?

That really stinks I'm sorry to hear this. The front of the car seems to go all the way around to the front quarter panels. So if it is that little front section, plus hood and bumpers that is a lot of damage. Do you have an estimate as these are aluminum and not the easiest things to work on. If it was me I'd press the other guy's insurance company go buy the car out and hand over the title.

Hearing you but not the way I want to pursue. its a 4 inch crease about 1/8 of an inch deep so unlikely to merit surrendering title. Just an annoyance. Purely cosmetic. The guy was back out of a parking spot at 2mph and we both had an unlucky day. But I do want it fixed correctly.

Surprised more f chatters haven't piped in with body shop recommendations. I guess I'll call Pat over at FoLI and see who they use.

I'm sure whoever does FoLI's work is also excellent.

I heard about "The panel shop" in Stratford CT this past weekend on my way back from Lime Rock. The panel shop is located within a restoration shop. I do not know their name, but I saw pictures of amazing cars they were working on.

This place is in a bad neighborhood but the cars they work on are all high end and exotics. Rolls, Macs, Maserati, F, Lambo, etc... The place looks like a graveyard for exotics when you get there. Literally dozens and dozens of cars. I think they do the repairs for Miller Motors in Greenwich (Not positive, you should confirm for yourself)

Call 'em. Have them come get the car, or drive it down and hop the Amtrak home. These guys are the best at what they do, and work closely with Algar Ferrari in Bryn Mawr, PA.

I know you said LI, but they're worth the effort to get the car to them if you want PERFECT.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I spoke with Steve at Karosserie this morning. I will look into classic coach as well. They are both factory authorized. If you've had direct experience with either one (good or bad) that you feel I should know, please PM me. Seriously would appreciate that.

I sent Karosserie pics today and basically they said it was not a big deal hit at all. Obviously I'd have preferred it not happen to my perfectly mint car but all in all not terrible and in very fixable and routine location. Of course it will require re spray which is frustrating.

    Classic, hands-down.

    I can't recommend a shop I've never had 1st hand experience with.
