Heading in to NYC this weekend from the Jersey Shore area, it's been a while since I've done the trip.

I have to get to Javits Center, I think my best option is NJ Transit to NY Penn Station and then walk to Javits. I know there's a new subway line that can get you there, but I'm easily confused and know the area from past walk arounds...what's best? Any recommendations?

    You're spot on.
Take the 7 train to the new station and walk.

It's still not a short walk so cab/uber are still good options

The new station - doesn't it stop right by Javits or is that also a decent walk? Javits is about 1 mile from NY Penn Station, hoping the 7 is a lot closer! :)

or drive to Weehawken, park, take the ferry over right near the Javitz
or park in Weehawken, take a gypsy van or NJT Bus to Port Authority and walk to the Javitz

Yeah I take the ferry if I'm just going to the Javitz center, although if you have multiple people its quite expensive vs just parking in the city.
