Vector W8 in New Jersey?

I don't know the owner's name but he has attended a handful of Cars and Croissants events in Morris County.

 

I own a Vector W8. Which one are you looking for?

 

I think it's been to the Chatham high school cars and croissants.

Believe this is the one in question? Saw it at my first Cars and Croissants way back in the fall of 2014. Safe to say it absolutely made my week.

I see you are in PA- was that at a C&C out by you? I don't remember seeing a Vector at our local C&C in NJ, at which nearly everything has shown up over the years (examples include: 959, BMW M1, Messerschmitt, Stanley Steam Car, 250 SWB, Enzo, F40, early narrow body 289 cobra, blower Bentley, Miura, etc). I'm still waiting for a Bugatti and F50 to show up, but now I'll have to add a Vector to the list of cars I'm waiting to see in the flesh/in the real world vs a museum

 

That Vector was at Cars and Croissants in Chatham in October of 2014, where the picture was taken.

 

Ugh- I must have missed that one (either the meet itself or the car)

Did those cars have a Chevy engine and an Oldsmobile drivetrain? Decent looking cars but should a true exotic have its own in-house designed and made engine and drivetrain?

Mclaren doesn't. They bought an engine design from someone in Detroit. The design and then and pick componentry for the drivetrain though.

You are confusing a lot of info. Please do your homework before posting here and confusing people.
Chassis 015 is white, red 011 is in the Middle East and the red New Jersey car was auctioned off at the 2014 RM Monterey auction and is chassis 003, former movie car of Rising Sun with Wesley Snipes and Sean Connery.

I know where all W8´s are located. No need to track them all down any more. I have done that for the past 20 years and they are all accounted for, Jamie.

 

The engine is a Rodeck resleevable aluminum Y-block used in dragsters tuned up to 4500hp.
Transmission also has a alot of inhouse VECTOR made parts.

 

Then its a Chevy.

 

Lots of F1 teams buy engines. But I know what you are saying.

 

I think you are looking for the wrong number car. 015 resides in my garage. Not sure why you would be looking for it in Saudi Arabia.

 

I finally saw the red vector at the local C&C meet (morris plains) a couple of weeks ago- took some pictures and talked to the owner. Interesting to see one in the flesh- a unique car.
