Meridian Street Indianapolis, IN, 46260 Phone: 317/581-9500 Hours: 6:30am - 9pm Mon - Fri; 7:30am - 8pm Sun Breakfast Served: 6:30 - 11am Mon - Sat; 8 - 11am Sun Just south of I-465 on Meridian, westside of the road. New location with outside seating, good coffee, yummy food and easy access to I-465 makes it a great location for a meeting spot prior to a cruise! Everyone is welcome to swing by and say hello. Get the word out to fellow car nuts and let's see turn this into a quality get together. We hope to be working with the GM of the place to let us block off a section of his parking lot. If not, there is a large parking lot immediately next door that isn't used in the morning.
I'm going to make this a "Sticky" for a couple weeks to help 'jump start' this Indy Saturday gathering. I'm not a fan of multiple "Sticky" threads. In fact, its generally frowned upon, but there is quite a bit of interest in getting a REAL 'coffee & cars' going in Indy and since this Saturday is looking GORGEOUS....here it is... After I 'unstick' this thread, feel free to BUMP it frequently to keep it fresh. JIM
Anyone planning to be here this Saturday morning? I am . . . . weather looks great. This is an ideal location. Lets try to get some unification going, huh?
Weather is going to be amazing this weekend. My engine is almost back together, but not enough to put back in the car. Looks like the clutch was just getting down to the rivets. So once again, I'll be there without my toy.
Outstanding turnout! Vettes, Pontiac GTO, Acura's, Lotus, Aston Martin, Pantera, BMW, Ferrari 365 GT4, Ferrari 599, and of course my little 308. I probably missed a few. Took pictures and will try to post later. Oh, as I was pulling out a 430 Spider was driving by but I am not sure if he pulled in. At least 3 attendees happened to be driving by and stopped to see what was going on. Best C & C ever - in my opinion. Best location.
Jim...you missed a great day. The 430 went to the gas station, but didn't stop by. Saw another Lotus 7, Birken I think, drove past, but didn't stop. That DB9 is one seriously sexy car. Duz185...you know I love your Pantera, but I think you now have competition for my heart with that DB9. We had a guy from Cinci drive over in a supercharged NSX. It had just come out of a paint booth about a week ago and was looking sharp. The new location is a hit with everyone. With word getting out and all the folks expressing interest in getting something like this together to bring the community together, I see this only growing. Mark
Glad to hear you guys had a nice turn out. I'd like to join in and meet some other car nuts, but busy as crap right now at the shop. I'll try to make it sometime as long as you guys don't mind a Jag STR 4 door showing up! As I said before on another thread, I've found an extremely cool road down here by Brookville Lake. I'd like to organize a drive, just have to work out the route a little more if anyone's interested later on.
I'm very bummed that I missed it! I'll miss next week as well unfortunately. Someone needs to start snapping some pics, which will really help word get out! JIM
I took pictures but haven't had a chance to download. I am heading out for a few hours now but will try to get them posted later. Sorry for the delay - busy weekend with the nice weather.
Okay guys, I keep trying to post pics but get the message that a "security token is missing". Any clues?
There are some pics posted over on www.maximum-motorsports.com, but you must be registered to see them. I don't think I can hotlink to pics since I'm not a paying member on this site. Duz185...loving the new plate. It fits that car so well!
It seems my limit is one at a time. . . . just tried for 2 and got rejected. I'll only do a couple more "highlights". Image Unavailable, Please Login
The grand finale! I think these pics give you a good flavor for the morning. It was quite a morning that my wife, son and I are still talking about. . . . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great shots Bill! I love the green Ferrari. Front engine 12 cyl touring cars are soooo quintisential Ferrari. M. Bayer (on this site in the vintage section, also bought our 67 330 GT) has a blue one with a body colored nose and that really cleans up the lines.
