What a crazy notion for many reasons:
    - it's only been a little over a week since our last ride
    - most everybody put their cars away for the winter
    - everyone has to cook the turkey
    - houseful of relatives
    - lots of parades to watch
    - it's just wrong on so many levels

    But on the other hand:
    - no traffic
    - supposed to be good weather
    - sanity was never my strong point

So who would be up for one last drive on Thanksgiving day? Probably not many, but we would make it short:
    - meet at Dimitiri's at 9:30 AM in Milford, but not for breakfast as we have a lot to gobble later in the day
    - quick drive

Might be able to bring the 360 out since I am back in town. What about doing it saturday morning if the weather is nice? Might get a few more cars to come out, just an idea though.

    Dennis,
    Good luck with your car!

Yes, Saturday would probably bring out more people, but the traffic will be also worse. The allure of early Thanksgiving Day itself is absence of traffic. But I do realize it is a bit of an imposition.

Saturday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 54.

    Thursday/Friday are purely sunny.

Vince, I love your unconventional ways!! :D

There may not be many cars, but if there's an open spot, I'd love to film it again! Like you said, probably not much traffic!

I'm not sure what the family is doing that day yet, so we'll see if I'm open.

Looks like I missed a good one. Our cat decided to feast on stuffing and giblets last night at about 11:30. I woke up to the crashing of cookware. Needless to say, I spent the next 3 hours cleaning everything up and making "substitutes" for what was lost. When I woke up this morning, it was 9:30!! Truly regretful that I missed the ride.

    Kestrel74,
Good driving with you and thanks for posting the pics so quickly.

    Dennis,
Sorry to hear about your cat. We waited a half hour and figured something was up. We'll get together sometime soon again this year albeit without the cars.

    Everyone,
Great drive! I am still waiting for the sun.

Hats off to you Vince for taking the initiative and getting everyone together! So when is our next "final" drive going to be? :D

Dennis, we missed you today! I'm sorry that you couldn't make it out, but sh*^ happens. We were going to call you, but we didn't have your contact info.

Thanks, I was glad to do it.

Well, the sun finally came out yesterday for a little while and of course right now it is out and there is not a cloud in the sky.

As for the final really final ride: let's just say that I am not yet taking putting it away for the winter. Who knows.

Dennis, I can't imagine what with your food creativity what you used for substitutes, let us know.

Yes, great drive on Thanksgiving morning!
Could have been sunnier and less windy, but the roads were basically clear and meeting up with the Loti, GTI and Countach 5000S en route was a nice bonus.
Also, Chris' Mafia Staff Car (Quattroporte) was a hoot to drive, that F430 engine and modified exhaust just begged to be exercised.......the MPG's will undoubtedly suffer but it's worth it ;^D

Vince...I used Basmati rice which I found WAY BACK in one of our highest-up cupboards. Package was well-sealed, rice looked great upon opening. Whipped up an herb seasoning with some Rosemary that my wife has been growing in a large urn for the past 3 years...glad I finally got to use some of it. No giblets? No problem...Andouille sausage to the rescue! It was perfect!

Yes, meeting up with other like-minded people was really a great bonus, even tho the weather was less than ideal.

I think we found the quote of the year:
    "No giblets? No problem"
