Never mind 2014. Maybe I won't bother putting the car on the road. Holy smokes, the potholes we're getting this year!
Hit one the other night and blew out the sidewall on my CTS coupe. Luckily, didn't bend the rim. Those damn low profile tires.....😀
Yeah, they are super deep this time around. I have to drive my M5 like I'm drunk, swerving wildly from lane to lane on the highway. And guess what? We're not done with the freeze/thaw/plow cycle yet!
On a positive note, they are a lot more fun if you pronounce them po-THO-le (like guacamole) when you call the DOT to fix them. "Yes, can you please send someone to fix the po-THO-le on the 3rd block of Main? "The what?" "Po-THO-le!" "Can you spell that?" "Are you stupid?"
Maybe I'll re-fit the 14s on the 308 this year... WeldCraft (where they identified me as a "repeat offender" the last time I was in there) had bumper stickers that said "I'm not drunk, I'm just avoiding the potholes".
I have already had to deal with a blown tire in my winter car. I just want winter to end already so I can take my fun car out.
whenever i purchase new tires, i get road hazard insurance. the insurance has saved me quite a bit of money, especially on lo profile tires.
Another stupid pothole gets the front right FF wheel ... although this time it broke a weld from a previous wheel repair that was done by a company in Ohio. Fortunately it happened two hours ago so my language during this post will not get me banned for life! The wheels are expensive but I think I am done with getting wheels repaired. The tire itself seems OK. Rick
