Novi MI - April 19 Car gathering and Carting

    I know the owner of JD karting in Novi, MI and he is having a car gathering at his place on April 19 and said he would save us spots for the Ferrari guys to park together and also let us do the Karting for $12 per race.

    The carts are amazing and hit speeds up to 40 mph, timed and electric (high torque) and fun to drive.

    The event is from 10am to 1pm, but I'm trying to see if we can get there early and get our Karting in amongst us Fchatters only.

    I know I will be there, hopefully we can have a good gathering and go for a drive afterwards too.

    Races at $12 for 7 minutes and every lap is electronically recorded and you get a printout with not only your times, but everyone you raced against.

    You would think there would be more interest as the carts are more impressive than Kart to Kart and without the exhaust.

    I will definitely be there ... hope we can have a good showing.

    Then grab lunch and maybe a cruise too!

    I'm sure the Easter Holiday makes plans harder to finalize for some, but as it stands now I might be able to participate.

    FYI, I heard they just sandbalsted the pavement. May make it less fun.

    Nice photo!

    I would like to go but I am pretty sure that the surgeon who spent 7 hours on my rebuild would not appreciate me subjecting it to that (not yet anyway).

    They said we can get in to kart at 9:30 am ... how many of you guys are interested? Seems like very little interest.... would be nice if the MI crew could get together more often like the other areas

    I look forward to it... this winter was just too long.
    Lets shoot for 9:30 so we can get a few races in before the place gets going.
