Going to detroit ...what do I do? recommendations please

    Hey guys I am leaving for detroit tomorrow and was looking for a cool few spots to check out with my wife. It's going to be a short trip only 2 days but I'm sure I can squeeze some fun in to it.


    What can we do that is cool and fun? I really want to have a good time with my girl as we have been really working hard lately and although this is a business trip as well I would like to really show her a a full day of fun. We like everything. Concerts, shows, food, nightlife etc

    We are arriving on Wednesday and leaving on Friday afternoon.

    I'll take any and all recommendations.

    Depends on where you are. If downtown, then there's plenty to do. If you're in the suburbs, then Royal Oak, Ferndale, Birmingham would be my choice.

    Visit the RenCen, walk along the river and look to the south to see Canada. Go to Greektown (even if you don't gamble, the food is great).
