    Hello All,

Please make plans to attend this years Ravenwood Castle Run. This is open to all exotics! Please spread the word in your car club circles and on FB.

Last years drive was a fantastic success. A very nice selection of exotics showed up. Once at the castle, the food was wonderful and the smells greeted you once you walked in the door. The sun was shining and the leaves were a nice fall color.

Please reply to this thread or call me to let me know you'll be there.

Join the Ferrari Club for the end of season drive in the Hocking Hills as we tour the countryside! You can expect sweeping left hand turns followed by sweeping right turns that plunge your Ferrari downhill towards more banking turns! Enjoy fast roads that become more like roller coasters. The fall leaves will be in full color as you enjoy clean natural breezes with your windows rolled down. As you drive through shady lanes and twisting roads you’ll enjoy the sun as it tries to shine through the trees as more shadow and shine cascade across your windshield.

You’ll enjoy the drive as we accelerate uphill to more banked turns and winding roads through the forest. The downhill slopes give you great views of cliffs and wooded gorges as you begin to decelerate, blipping the throttle to enjoy that engine music. Although our year is winding down, you can expect this drive to wind you up, reminding you of all the reasons why you dreamed of owning your own Cavallino!

This drive will lead us to the Ravenwood Castle! This castle is hidden off the beaten path at the end of it’s own country road. This path opens up to reveal the castle courtyard and the large fortified entrance. Inside you will enjoy medieval décor as we enter the great dining hall with tours of the guest suites and discover the castle’s pub with it’s own stone work fire place! Once everyone is settled we will enjoy a wonderful buffet prepared by Ravenwoods’ own chef. Please bring your camera to capture images of your favorite Ferraris arranged on display in front of this castle. If you have your GoPro video cameras mounted on your car you will be sure to enjoy the exciting drive movies later in the season.

    DESCRIPTION

This drive will take place on Sunday, October 5th. The drive starts at the Gender Rd (SR 674) exit from US 33 South of I 270. There is a grocery store parking lot as you exit to the right, then make another right. You can get fuel here if needed.

We will obey all speed limits on US33 to avoid speed traps. Once on the driving route, we won't see any police, the twisting road will set its own speed limit. At this time of year, we can expect families in cars cruising the roads to enjoy the Fall scenery. They won't be speeding and most will not pull over to allow any of our group to pass. There will be times where we get clear driving after making a turn and the speeds can be faster. This drive will be a cruise to enjoy the scenery and the cooler Fall weather. We won't be passing slower cars. Your cell phones won't have any signal.

Remember your car mounted cameras to capture video and your digital cameras to photograph the many exotic cars and the beautiful scenery.

The buffet cost is $30.00 per person. Please send me an email to RSVP at [email protected]

Hey everyone! The weather sure is holding out for us! Rainy and cloudy today, but it will be clear and warmer tomorrow for our fun filled, exciting drive. Forecast says a high of 59 and a low of 47. Several people have RSVP'd to my email. The dinner will be lasagna and Venison/Beef meatloaf. There will be grilled veggies, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie cheesecake, and Starbucks Italian roast coffee.
